Happy New Year, everyone!

It is officially booking season, just to let you know. It usually starts up big time around January, and it'll last till around April. I am not sure why it happens, but both brides and grooms decide that their New Year's resolution is to start planning their big day, so they all start calling and emailing at the same time!

What's the big news here?

Actually, none! Haha.

Prices will stay the same. When the economy goes up, and the cost of living in Hawaii goes down, I will definitely lower prices. It's just a matter of when. But everything here is so freaking expensive compared to the rest of the country.

Hey everyone, I'm learning how to use a program called Capcut to make advertisement videos. So, that's what you're seeing on my stories. I plan to make advertisements for my wedding company very soon. The advertisements you see are for my friends company, www.seedbeeusa.com - which is beauty company here in American that sells Korean beauty products.

Capcut is pretty fun because it really allows me to get back to my screenwriter/filmmaker roots. It's different than other editing systems, such as AVID, as it has a huge library that I can use. Also, I can use my phone to voice over the scripts that I write (yes, that's my voice), and I can use Ai's to change my voice into different characters. It's all pretty cool!

CELLPHONE MAGIC ~

We are now at the point in our lives where cellphones can produce professional-quality snapshots. This shot was taken on the Samsung 24 Ultra on Pro-Mode. Pro-Mode allows me to manipulate camera settings manually, unlike the default auto mode.

Post-production on this photo was pretty much close to nothing.

On my professional camera, this same shot would require a flash, and some heavy post-production corrections.

Why is this happening? Well, smartphones can't drastically get much smarter - except for their photo/video capabilities. And right now, our smartphones have become incredible cameras. They are great at shooting everything - except Bigfoot. Apparently, even with the best tech, if you shoot Bigfoot, that photo will still turn out blurry as heck.

So, what does this mean for you?

Well, first of all, if you're thinking of buying a professional camera specifically for your vacation, don't. Instead - upgrade your phone.

If you book professional shots from me, do not be surprised if I breakout my Samsung Ultra 24. It's definitely a weapon of choice when it comes to getting great photos for you.

ELIAS PARKER NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS

Hey everyone. Many of my past clients were married by Rev. Elias Parker. Unfortunately, about a week ago, he suffered an unsuspected medical complication and is now clinging to life. Elias had no medical problems at all. He simply collapsed and is now in the hospital on a ventilator.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Elias was instrumental in helping me start Dream Weddings Hawaii, and he worked closely with me for decades. I know he married many of you who are still following me :)

I'll keep you updated via this thread. All I can say right now is that it's not looking good. But prayer and the power of God is amazing.

I know many of my clients dye their hair before their weddings. Well, if you're looking to save hundreds of dollars and your natural hair color is dark, then check out Seedbee natural water dyes.

These hair dyes are awesome because you only need to combine the dye with water, shake it up, and apply it to your hair! There's no need for a developer or fixer, in other words, nasty chemicals that could, in fact, be carcinogenic.

I tried this on my mom with the wine color option, and it came out great. The dye also has biotin, so it made my mom's hair silky smooth.

The dye will last about 300 washes, close to a year. As your hair grows, though, you will have to dye the roots.

Now, you're probably asking, "Why are you plugging this product, Steve?" Well, primarily because it's awesome, effective, and really easy to use. I was hired to photograph its packaging a few months ago, and well - I wanted to see if it really worked. So, my mom was the guinea pig.

And it does work. Really well.

The company is wildly popular in Korea, selling up to 20 million boxes. And you know Korean beauty products, right? They know their stuff.

So, try it out. You won't be disappointed! Unfortunately, because the product is natural, there is nothing for blondes. This product is only for dark hair.

For the men who serve, if you have a Mess Uniform, seriously consider it, at least for the ceremony. You can change to something more casual later, for the beach pictures. The mess uniform IS awesome. For the women who serve, the wedding dress still works better than the Mess uniform. Just my opinion. And, thank you all for your service.
