One way to think of mole is as the Mexican version of a curry. Retail • Wholesale • Festivals • Pop Up events • Catering • Cooking classes

We like to call mole the Mexican version of a curry sauce. Many people associate mole with chocolate, but the truth is mole comes in many colors and varieties. Our mole comes in powde

r form and is refrigerated giving it added versatility. You can simply add it as a spice for a marinade or simmer it with your favorite stock to make mole sauce. It is easy to incorporate into a variety of dishes. Our mole is vegetarian and vegan-friendly!

Today we celebrate one day of two distinct, yet still intertwined instances of remembrance and visibility. It is imperative on us to continue making the invisible — visible.

Hoy celebramos dos distintos eventos que, aunque son distintos están unidos en recordación y visibilidad. Lo que es importante para nosotros es continuar la labor de hacer lo ‘invisible’ — visible.

César Chávez was a champion of equal rights for all. He is best known for his activism among farmworkers and the broader labor movement. His advocacy bridged class, race/ethnicity, and gender as well as elevated the notion that freedom is not achieved for one until it is achieved for all.

International Transgender Day of Visibility is a time to celebrate, recognize, and uplift transgender and non-binary people globally and acknowledge the tenacity, courage, and perseverance it takes to live openly and authentically. In the words of the President of the United States Joe Biden, "I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating discrimination against all transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people — and all people."

Meet Langston Hughes. He was an incredible poet and social activist who lived in the first half of the 20th century until the pinnacle of the Civil Rights Movement. See more below.

James Mercer Langston Hughes (February 1, 1901 – May 22, 1967) was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri. One of the earliest innovators of the literary art form called jazz poetry, Hughes is best known as a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. He famously wrote about the period that "the Negro was in vogue", which was later paraphrased as "when Harlem was in vogue." Source: Wikipedia

My favorite poem of his is titled Mother to Son. (below)

Well, son, I’ll tell you:

Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.

It’s had tacks in it,

And splinters,

And boards torn up,

And places with no carpet on the floor—

Bare.

But all the time

I’se been a-climbin’ on,

And reachin’ landin’s,

And turnin’ corners,

And sometimes goin’ in the dark

Where there ain’t been no light.

So boy, don’t you turn back.

Don’t you set down on the steps

’Cause you finds it’s kinder hard.

Don’t you fall now—

For I’se still goin’, honey,

I’se still climbin’,

And life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.

Meet Edmonia Lewis.
Mary Edmonia Lewis, "Wildfire" (c. July 4, 1844 – September 17, 1907), was an American sculptor, of mixed African-American and indigenous (Mississauga Ojibwe) heritage. Born free in Upstate New York, she worked for most of her career in Rome, Italy. She was the first African-American and Native American sculptor to achieve national and then international prominence. She began to gain prominence in the United States during the Civil War; at the end of the 19th century, she remained the only Black woman artist who had participated in and been recognized to any extent by the American artistic mainstream. Source: Wikipedia
