Day 1 of Boo-B-Que is in books. We ended up getting one of these awesome pumpkins with a 6th place chicken call landing us 12th place overall with a 695 out a big group of amazing cooks!

Friday night we had a potluck sponsored by Hooray Grill Co and had amazing tri tip, strips, and ribeyes.

On Saturday the kids came and got to trick or treat!

American Royal World Series of Barbecue 2023!

Full results for yesterdays American Royal World Series of Barbecue Open are not it yet, but your Pirates did not hear their name this year.

Fortunately for us we were able to hear a lot of our friends names called though!

Kids Q results are fully in finally!

Miles McGee cooked a solid comp and ended up 3rd with a 177.76! He cooked a smash burger taco with a homemade bic mac sauce.

Finnegan McGee ended up 8th with a 176! He made an onion smash double cheese burger.

Both boys used Trauma Hogs BBQ SPG to season their Snake River Farms beef!

Congratulations, little pirates, you guys nailed it! Way to bring home the 1st trophy of the weekend for the Pirates Miles!

We had a decent cook yesterday and landed 79th out of a very stiff field with a 686.75. Pork has been a problem for us for years, and it finally came together for us yesterday with a 28th place and a 176.00.

Waiting to hear how we did today!

Miles brought a trophy home for the team (3rd place out of 80 kids) with Trauma Hogs BBQ SPG on smash burger tacos with homemade “Big Mac” sauce!

We didn’t get any calls but tomorrow is a new day!

We are home and rested from Smoke On The Trails. We were happy with our cook and the judges somewhat agreed.
