Hi there! I'm Morgan, and I've been a Certified Wedding Planner, Certified Event Planner + Coordinator since May 8th, 2017 as well as a proud first generation entrepreneur since February 8th, 2018. I am originally from the Great Lakes Bay Region but have recently relocated to the Southeastern Michigan area. I have a passion for all things weddings, but especially consulting, design and collaboration. Providing services for Brides/Grooms on the day-of is my specialty! In addition to Wedding Month Management and Coordination (also known as "day-of" services), I also offer Stationary Creation/Design, Partial and/or Full Planning, Ceremony Rehearsal Coordination services and more! I'm back and must say - I've been missing in action more than I would like to admit but, life with a 7-month-old, three huskies, moving, working outside the home AND in the early stages of building a new house - is absolutely not for the weak.

Hi all! It’s me!
Many of you don’t truly know me personally, but may have seen me running around on the day of a wedding... if so, you know I don't shy away from hard work, good conversation, or dessert...
If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, here are a few other things you may not know about me yet –
- I am a wife (this September will be our 5th wedding anniversary)
- Last Sunday was my FIRST Mother's Day 🥞☕💐📖🎈(can't believe my baby Charlotte is already 6 months old 🥹)
- I am a dog lover and have three huskies named Odin, Zeus, and Athena. If my husband were on board, I’d have more huskies though
- I enjoy family gatherings and love ANY reason to get together. The older I get, and the busier life gets for everyone, the more I value time with loved ones
- I am a BUSY BEE. 12,000 steps a day is a must!
- I love to accessorize and read personal finance books and snap photos anywhere I go
- And believe it or not, I love anything that has to do with the outdoors or that involves powersports

If you're new around here, you must know that I am all about that 'lake girl lifestyle'. I grew up spending almost every weekend on the water with my family. So naturally, my parents lake house is hands down my most happy place.
Anytime there's an opportunity to be a part of a waterfront wedding, you will hear nothing but yes from me!

What does a certified Wedding Planner + Coordinator do behind the scenes?!
The short answer is; many things that your other vendors will not do!
With a wedding planner/coordinator on your team, there is no more worrying about setting up those precious little details. We will make sure all your personal and sentimental items get to the venue and are in the right place (I will usually pick these items up after your rehearsal evening run-through). These precious little details could be grandma’s wedding picture or cake serving set, your card box or guest book, favors, décor, etc.
A wedding planner/coordinator will not only get these items to the venue, but also make sure everything looks exactly the way you want it to. And even relocate items after your ceremony so they can be admired a little longer!

Did you know, the most classic wedding color combination of all time actually consists of neutral colors.
Black is a good option if you want to bring drama and intensity to your neutral color palette, while white will brighten the overall palette. And of course; ivory, champagne and off-white are alternatives to pure white.

What does a certified Wedding Planner + Coordinator do behind the scenes?!
Your wedding rehearsal should be easy, efficient, and run smoothly... same goes for your wedding ceremony. Allow us to be your point person and not only direct your rehearsal evening but also cue each stage of your "i do" day!
Throughout my 8 years of experience as a Wedding Planner and Event Planner, I have learned SO much! One thing that has always remained is the larger the bridal party, everything becomes much more difficult to coordinate. There are also many variations to the ceremony order and it is important that you have someone who is knowledgeable, someone who is assertive enough to encourage your bridal party members to pay attention, someone to ensure all items needed are present, cue each entrance, advise each member where to stand, etc. (especially the cute little ring bearers and flower girls).
Remember, your Officiant/Pastor is one of the first to enter at the beginning of the ceremony, so it is not possible for them to cue each pair. Also, giving your bridal party direction and keeping them happy will help you have a better, smoother, and more enjoyable big day - so let us do everything in our means to make sure they smile, feel great, and are confusion free!

When it comes to preparing the bride and groom, both the Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man have their own specific responsibilities and tasks. From acting as both a moral compass and logistical helping hand, to selecting dresses and suits and/or tuxedos, to planning the pre-wedding parties, to being responsible for the rings on the day-of and more - both roles are equally important.

Saw something like this going around so thought we’d give it a try... As engagement season comes to an end, allow me to give you a crucial word of advice - make sure you love your wedding planner/coordinator! I’m not talking about only loving their work, I’m talking about loving their personality, too. On your wedding day your planner/coordinator will be keeping an eye on you almost every moment and checking in with you ALL. THE. TIME. They are with you in the hectic parts of the day when they have to tell the girls to chill because they see the look on your face. They are with you when no one else is sure how to bustle the dress. They get up in your business and pull your spanx down to smooth it out for you while your photog. gets everyone lined up for portraits. When you can’t find where you laid down your bouquet, or what you need to do next, they are there. They dictate your entire day, and their actions play a huge role in how the day goes. They make sure the groomsmen behave and tell them not to take the last shot before the ceremony. To type them up and remind them that taking photos isn’t that bad. They are also with you in the quiet moments when you’re with dad or whomever is walking you down the aisle to a new life. To hand you a tissue before you have time to ask. To give you that reassuring look that you’ve got this, and you look absolutely stunning. A clipboard in one hand and your veil/ train in the other… Most of the time you will have a beautiful day regardless, but take my advice… love your wedding planner/coordinator. I, Morgan N. Roberts, am the founder and owner of @WeddingAndEventPlanningByMN and am an Internationally Certified Wedding Planner as well as an Internationally Certified Event Planner. @WeddingAndEventPlanningByMN was established February 8, 2018 and is located in Midland, MI however I am able to travel and service ALL romantic couples in love, statewide!
I believe that my fresh talent, education, certifications, knowledge, and experience are perks for the couples that secure my services, as I am also very recently married, allowing me to connect with current Brides/Grooms in a way that most vendors cannot as you begin the same planning journey that I have experienced myself.
Meet the Planner:
I am a 2017 Central Michigan University Alumna with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Event Management with an emphasis in Commercial Recreation, along with a business minor in Professional Sales. I have become an Internationally Certified Planner/Coordinator since May 8, 2017 when I started my 30-week unpaid internship with a fellow wedding/event planning company, Splendid Events, which is located in Saginaw, MI.
Upon completing my internship with Splendid Events alongside my wonderful mentor, Andrea, as well as becoming a member of their team since 2017 and starting my own company in February of 2018 - I have completed my dream of becoming a full time, professional and fully certified Wedding and Event Planner/Coordinator.
I enjoy interior design, creating wedding stationary and other collateral materials, as well as planning a variety of life’s celebratory events. It is a wonderful thing when passion meets work and I am beyond grateful for a career that frees me from the typical 9-5 schedule, allows me to travel and visit breathtaking and historical venues across my home state, as well as work with all romantic couples in love, bringing their dream wedding day vision and goals to life!
While I am very passionate, motivated, creative, detail focused, organized and innovative, I am also very family oriented, adventurous and a lover of Michigan’s great outdoors. I spend the majority of my time at our family lake house, engaging in many water sports and boating during the summer months and snowmobiling throughout Northern Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula during the winter months.
