Our Story
I started playing with a camera after my son was born. My curiosity has led me on a self learning journey and I eventually ended up spending hours on Youtube tutorials, photography discussion forums, and even online courses. The Photo Wala came into existence after a fair amount of practice and rotation through a few different cameras and lens, coupled with love and encouragement from those who believed in me and my newfound skills. Wala is derived from my actual last name. In South Asia, it has historically been used in some communities to indicate one’s profession or family business. The goal was not just to become well known in your industry, but to build professional relationships lasting generations, to become a household name, and the community’s go to for a product or service.
For me, The Photo Wala symbolizes just that. My goal is to build long term relationships and be your go to at all of the turning points in your life. So whether you’re a mom to be looking for maternity photos, a professional looking for updated headshots for your line of work, a high school student in search of senior pictures, or a family who wants to hang on to those precious silly moments during an afternoon at the park, I’m here to help facilitate that. Let’s talk.
