New class just got posted!

Learning the techniques of self-hypnosis can be beneficial for a myriad of reasons. In this two-hour self-hypnosis session with hypnotherapist Judit Csikos of Joti Healing, we will be introduced to self-hypnosis and taught tools to help us with managing stress relief. Whether new to the practice of self-hypnosis, or looking for an opportunity to learn some about it, then this is the class for you. Please join us at TEND Community for an insightful evening surrounded by a group of warm and welcoming people.

Things to know:

This class takes place at the TEND Commons at the Rebekah building in downtown Bothell. You will find us on the first floor – look for the TEND Community signs.
Parking can be found on the street or at Bothell City Hall

Bring a journal if you would like

We made beautiful wreaths for fall! Thanks to Margaret's creative thinking and guidance we learned how to make gorgeous wreaths using pool noodles! It was a ton of fun and no two wreaths looked alike. Thank to everyone who joined us for this crafty evening together. PS...Another one will be coming soon!

I can't think of a better way to spend an evening, than by stopping by Zebra Cellars in Woodinville to support and "meet the artist," Nina Crampton! Nina's work is stunning and you won't want to miss an opportunity to see it up close. TEND Community has been so fortunate to have Nina teaching art classes for us, and if you haven't met her in person yet, stop by on Friday and say hello!

This morning was the first of our Cultivating Joy gatherings led by Linette Bixby. It was a wonderful hour of chatting, sharing, and digging deeper into our core beliefs and recognizing how those beliefs can help us to bring more joy into our lives - sometimes it's just about being. The quote below just confirmed what our discussion was all about. It felt healing to be in community with other women, enjoying coffee and conversation. Hopefully you can join our next one?

How do you cultivate joy in your life? For me, spending time with friends, eating yummy food, drinking wine, laughing and connecting are things that bring me joy. Sometimes though, I need to not be so busy. I need to put aside some time for myself.
To stop.
To breathe.
To be grateful.
To have heart connections with myself and others.
On Friday morning I am looking forward to setting aside some time to do just that. Linette Bixby, certified mindfulness teacher, is planning twice monthly gatherings on alternating Monday and Friday mornings to support any of us who need the space and guidance to work on cultivating joy in our lives.
Linette is a mother, wife, teacher, writer, friend, ally, and mentor. She gets it. Spending just five minutes in her presence leaves you feeling seen, heard, connected and joyful. Can't we all use a little (or a lot) of that?
The first of hopefully many "Cultivating Joy" gatherings will be on Friday, August 26th from 9:30-10:30. We will have tea, coffee, and time well spent together.

It has been our pleasure to support such organizations as, the Social & Emotional Wellness Initiative, Eastside Baby Corner, the Looking Out Foundation, Clothes For Kids, Girls on the Run Snohomish Co., and the Food Bank Farm.

We went "toe-to-toe" with Jill Swan on Saturday for Tea and Toe Reading and it was as informative as it was fun! Jill shared with us how our toes tell a story about where we've been and where we are going. It made total sense! We learned about each toe and she even did a mini toe reading for each person. Thank you so much for all that you shared Jill, you certainly taught us about stepping into "the sooo much more!"
