We are deeply saddened by the tragic losses our community and industry friends have experienced this week. Sending love and condolences to Preeti Waas. We adored Ellie and she shined a bright light! Our hearts are with you and can’t imagine this loss. Ellie was a very sweet girl and always greeted us with her beautiful smile and cheerful countenance.

Our afternoon tea experience is back at the North Carolina Museum of Art's East Café on Sunday, February 2! The Asian-inspired winter tea features a fixed price
menu that includes savory canapés, finger sandwiches, and Asian-inspired pâtisserie. Premium teas or coffee is included. Purchase of tea ticket includes access
to exhibition Samurai: The Making of a Warrior.

The installation Seeing Red explores the history, symbolism, and materiality of red
dyes and pigments in art. It features an interactive display and works of art from the
North Carolina Museum of Art collection to illustrate the artistic use of red.

At this related multisensory culinary event, enjoy a short tour of Seeing Red with
Director of Conservation Perry Hurt. Then in NCMA Café, embark on a deep dive into
red wine presented by wine educator and owner of Vitis House, Doreen Colondres. A
fascinating, cross-cultural combination of art and wine, this experience is accompanied by creative food pairings by chef Rick Sloan.
