Let’s talk about the beginning stages of opening a storefront! 👇
When we opened our storefront in 2020, we had zero experience in hospitality or the restaurant industry. I had no clue what equipment was needed, where to purchase it, where to put it, or what the flow would be like. I feel like I say this often, but trial and error is truly the key. We did not get any funding or take out any loans to create our first shop, so we really just took advantage of the existing structure the shop already had. We started with the bare minimum of what we needed and grew from there.
That is what we are doing with our new Dallas store, but with a bit more knowledge and experience to make it the best it can be. Our kitchen will be bigger, we will have a better flow, and we will still have a space for customers to pick up their orders, come in for grab-and-go boards, and host workshops. However, this time, we are able to plan things with just a little more intention than before.
The moments from signing a lease to getting construction started involve a lot of logistics. Acquiring a certificate of occupancy, hiring an architect to draft the plans, and getting quotes from multiple contractors before starting construction are all necessary steps.
We hope to start the renovations soon and will keep you all updated as we go!

5 years ago today I sold my first charcuterie board. 4 years ago we opened doors to our first brick and mortar in Grapevine, Texas. I’ve never posted before & after transformations of the shop because I never truly feel like I’m done. But isn’t that how renovations go? 🤣
Over the past four years, our shop has transformed from a former cider bar into a charcuterie haven. Here, people can come in to order boards, pick up their pre-orders, and, most excitingly, learn how to make a charcuterie board.
Creating a warm and welcoming environment has been a slow work in progress. Our kitchen required a combination of trial and error to figure out what to get, where to put it, and how the flow should work. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the space filled with happy cheese lovers 🥹🫶🏾

Father’s Day is around the corner, and I wanted to give a little shout-out to the man behind the scenes… my dad! If you’ve been ordering from us since the beginning, you may recognize his face from delivering your charcuterie boards. 😂
One of the biggest things about starting your own business is making sure you have a reliable support system to hold you up. I am fortunate enough to have him by my side through this crazy, unexpected career path I chose for myself.
To give a little background, my parents immigrated to the United States 35 years ago in hopes of giving their future children (aka me and my sister) more opportunities for a better life. When he came to America, they didn’t have much. His first job was working at McDonald’s while putting himself through college. He was the first person in our family to graduate college and then proceeded to do it two more times after that, not only with his master’s but also with his MBA from Chicago Booth (yes, I’m bragging for him because he doesn’t do it himself).
In my past 26 years of existence, I gave my parents a run for their money... and their sanity! 😆 I was most definitely not the easiest child to raise. However, I am living, breathing proof that tough love can pave the way for success. I truly look up to his work ethic, determination, and care for his family, and I can only hope I pass those traits along in the future.
Happy early Father’s Day, Dad. Thank you for always supporting me and my cheesy dreams!

A personal post - Last night I decided to celebrate Taylor Swift in the best way I knew possible, by making a charcuterie board dedicated to her new album.
Being a creative, I am constantly hitting my “limit” and feeling stuck on what to do next. As grateful as I am that we have countless orders at our shop, filling out rectangle after rectangle with the same things oftentimes sucks the creative juices right out of you.
Challenging myself to making a charcuterie board dedicated to the colors and mood of TTPD, on a round plate, and not in our commercial kitchen allowed my brain to just ✨ let loose ✨
Honestly, made me emotional because I got to do something that sparks my brain, in the nature of my own four walls that I get to call home. And the only reason I have my own space that I get to call home is because of the success of this business, that I started from doing what I LOVE 🥹
