We’ve been able to host several active duty military runners over the years. This year we had multiple runners again plus we are very grateful to the Navy Warrior Challenge Program who came out for nearly a full week. They did a lot of physical & environmental training out in the elements of the west desert but they were also tremendously helpful in helping set course. (FYI: They’re coming back & bringing more!)

Remember we offer registration discounts for military, both active duty & veterans as well as law enforcement, EMT’s, fire fighters & healthcare professionals.

Use: semperfi for 25% off. Be honest!

Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights as seen from race HQ (Grantsville UT) this last week. I’m glad I went outside to look but was also very tempted to drive out towards the course in the middle of the night to see what I could see from there. Next time. Still on my bucket list but this was quite amazing.

Isabella has been on the SFER course since she was 5. First working aid stations, then marking course & this year she’s doing both. Yesterday, Jesse & Isabella managed to mark 50% of the 100 mile course before coming home for her wrestling awards banquet. If you follow our family you know wrestling has been a part of our life for about five years thanks to our little man. Last spring Isabella tried out wrestling and this winter was her first official high school season (as a sophomore) & she received her varsity letter last night. Now this morning Jesse & Catarina are back out on the course while Isabella helps with the cute grandbabies.

Watch your email later today (Monday) for your pre-race email. Remember to also follow the included link & fill out your medical form. The email would have gone out today but we had a pretty major auto repair to manage on the way to the salt. Typical race week. Hahaha.

Its an alternate course year! It’s beautiful out there…but we’re 100% (yes, for sure) running the alternate course.

Just a few more trips back & forth…& a few hundred (actually several thousand) more miles over the course of race week.

Heads up. Gas in Nevada at Maverik (Exit 410) is $1 cheaper per gallon than it is at the Bonneville Speedway Sinclair (UT Exit 4).
