In September, we traveled to Chicago for Kat and Alyssa’s wedding.

We were thrilled to design the flowers for a gorgeous celebration at their home in Elmwood Park. The bride’s vision for the wedding was cheerful, happy, colorful and whimsical.

Alyssa’s bouquet complimented her stunning dress from Flora & Lane, and Kat’s pocket square added a bright floral moment to her suit from Bindle & Keep. Many of the blooms we chose were the same flowers the brides have growing in their garden. To honor Kat’s roots, we brought some Missouri wildflower magic from Cultivate Co., Three Creeks Farm + Forest, Rudy Lane Flower Farm, Titus Creek Flowers & Lavender, River Road Blossoms and Happy Hollow Farm

I’m not sure I’ve ever attended a more lovely, thoughtful or intentional wedding. They thought of every detail to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and part of celebrating their love story.

This was the most gorgeous wedding at Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s botanical garden that we did as a freelance florist for .

The bride chose a beautiful white and green color palette. We used ranunculus, roses, anemone, veronica, stock, astrantia, Italian ruscus, eucalyptus and the sweetest local white zinnias from to create the wedding ceremony and reception flowers.

Is there anything more wonderful than a friend saying “please come cut some flowers”?! 😍🌸🌼🎉

My friend has the most gorgeous garden and grew all of these dahlia’s, zinnias, snap dragons, gomphrena, celosia, and sunflowers. We had a wonderful time cutting some of her stunning flowers to make this beautiful arrangement!

They look gorgeous casually arranged in some glass vases!

The first images from Ming and Rusty’s wedding are in and we can’t wait to see more!

The bride chose the most dreamy and romantic color palette with soft pinks, lavender, champagne, mauve and white. We used garden roses, freesia, ranunculus, snap dragons, spray roses, stock flower, and eucalyptus greenery to create her bouquet.

Came to .lil.things for some Valentine Minis for my toddler, stayed for this adorable photo my sissy got of me! 😂🌸🌼🌺💕🎉

We love a good international, transatlantic flower order!

One bestie is in France and wants to send 4️⃣0️⃣th birthday flowers to her bestie in CoMo! Can we do it? Of course we can!

We used the Threshold Seeded Glass Hurricane as our vase. It’s a big daddy and admittedly a rather extra vase but it’s fabulous for a massive arrangement!

We used a variety of flowers and greenery in beautiful jewel tones to create a bright and festive bouquet that screams BIRTHDAY (not holiday) for this December birthday babe!

Flowers included - white Eskimo roses, bright blue and light lavender delphinium, pink and purple Veronica, white and dark pink stock flower, a delicate mundial chrysanthemum with tiny fuchsia petals, vintage carnations called Nobbio Violet, magenta sweet William, purple statice, silver dollar and baby blue eucalyptus - so much variety, texture and beautiful color!

Happy Veterans Day!

We were honored to create the floral centerpieces for a luncheon First Lady Teresa Parson hosted for Missouri military spouses at the Missouri Governor's Mansion as part of their Veterans Day celebrations earlier this week (photos courtesy of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion).

And a special thank you to some of my favorite veterans: my dad, Bill Burnham (Army); my grandfather, Dr. J. Ned Smith (Navy); and my brother-in-law, Keith Shaffer (USMC). Thank you for your service! ❤️🇺🇸
