A little taste of our time in St. Lucia 🌴☀️🇱🇨
(possibly part 1? more parts to come? tbd.)
This trip was truly surreal. It was an exciting adventure… and even though it came with some less-than-desirable twists, they ultimately gave us experiences that we will probably laugh about for years.
The beautiful turquoise sea, winding (narrow!) mountain roads, hidden waterfalls, wild baby goats, and literally the world’s only drive-in Volcano (and yes, *we drove-in*) make it clear why the locals love their island unconditionally.
We stayed in the small, humble town of Soufriere (“Soo-fray”), which was filled with the kindest, most generous, welcoming and fun-loving folks north of the equator. “Living on Island Time” *may* have been invented in St. Lucia, where literally everything and everyone move (unapologetically) like happy little snails, and by day 4 of our trip… I think we had finally almost gotten on board with it. 🐌⏰😂
To all the locals we had the pleasure of crossing paths with… Ramses, Lorne, MJ, Genevieve, Descartes, Al, little porch kitty, and even “Bessie” (the little rental car engine that could) to name a few - we will never forget how you helped shape this beautifully bizarre trip of ours.
30 years of friendship with !(which Lorne so geniusly pointed out - because apparently, at age 36 we are as oblivious as we were at 6). 🫣😂
