Sure, you’ll probably need a nap later that day, but you avoid the crowds when you’re there first thing in the morning, versus sunset time. In the morning the sun is rising over the buildings and the light is glorious! Plus you’ll likely have the place all to yourselves.

Writing a maid of honor or best man speech can feel a little scary, but it doesn’t have to be! Here’s a big tip to keep in mind when planning out what to say:

Keep it short and sweet! Wedding toasts don’t need to be long. Aim for 3-5 minutes max. Much longer and you could start to lower your guests’ attention.

Joseph’s brother crushed his best man’s speech. It was heartfelt and memorable, with a little humor sprinkled in...this is him telling everyone he still had quite a bit to say 🤣.

Michael and Allana wanted to kick off their engagement session somewhere special—so we started at in Newburgh, one of our favorite Italian restaurants, and where they had their first date. The restaurant’s owners couldn’t have been nicer, letting us take over their cozy, vintage space and even treating us to dinner (yes, they had spaghetti, and it was perfect).

Don’t stress about the weather on your big day!! As long as you have a solid rain plan, some clear umbrellas and a positive outlook, everything will be perfect! Seasoned pros can use indoor space creatively and make the best of the time we have outdoors. For example, we watched switch the ceremony location from outside in record time when rain moved it indoors!

We had such a great time with Tori and Peter on their wedding day at even though we got quite a bit of rain. Everyone by their side made it their best day!

So you want flat-lay shots of your wedding details? Often, when a photographer and videographer arrive, brides are in the stylist chair, finishing up their hair or makeup. Rather than interrupting your artist to go round up all the details from different bags, here’s a tip:

In advance, set aside a small box with anything you want captured—think jewelry, perfume, vow books, invitation suite, shoes, and even a special hanger for your dress if you have one! 🥂

A few other ideas? Consider including keepsakes, family heirlooms, or something borrowed or blue—little touches that make your details unique to you.

💐 Bonus tip: Ask your florist for a few extra blooms or greenery to elevate the flat-lay.

Remember, these photos are only important to us if they’re important to you. We have some couples who don’t value these types of images and tell us not to bother. But if you’d like them included, we’ll need a little extra room in your timeline to bring the vision to life, since these photos take a bit of time to set up.
