We are called to witnessAll of us!Meaning of witness- one who has knowledge, or information of something and can share that information to those who don’t have that same information. YOU BRING THAT INFORMATION TO LIGHT.Matthew writes- You are the light of the world. A city on the hill shall not be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and then put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise yourFather in heaven.Matthew 5: 14-16If your relationship with God is current and alive then you will continually see Gods works and marvel at His greatness. Then you will have something living and active to testify about. Sharing Gods word gives us an opportunity to tell people about Jesus, but only through the way we live out what we are sharing does our testimony come to life.Witnessing can bring fear and make us uncomfortable, Maybe we won’t say the right thing, but we must realize that if we are sharing about Jesus with a true heart we will receive His encouragement. Sharing the good news doesn’t come naturally, God gives us that power.We must speak from Gods heart. We must have something to say. We must be living our lives with a living God to be able to express His love and grace If your relationship with God is current and alive then we will continually see Gods works and marvel at His greatness. Then we will have something living and active to testify about. “ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witness in Jerusalem and Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”Acts 1:8Effective witness is a supernatural gift from the Holy Spirit to make us able and mighty in witnesses.Now in sharing God with others, don’t push people. Others will not receive your witness if they feel judged or forcedThe best way to show the work God has done and continues to do in you is by your actions, showing love and gentleness.“Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for eachothers differences and faults because of your love.” Ephesians 4:2Be humble as Jesus was. Humble sharing love with others when He walked on the earth. He is the perfect example. This is why we must be in communion with God. We must know Him to be able to share His greatness with others.
