April Dreams Photography is a Suffolk county Long Island based photography business. What started out as a hobby quickly turned into a flourishing business. Sandra has a passion and a love for capturing those special moments when no one is looking. Always striving to challenge herself she makes each and every session unique for you. Her amazing ability to work with children and make everyone feel

comfortable and relaxed, she also makes each session fun, so you walk away from a session and say "I really had a great time". Being a stay at home mom with two school age children with a husband who has crazy hours, she manages to take the time to speak to her clients and get to know them before each session. She is currently booking two months in advance, but can always find the time to have a session should you need to book last minute.

It's a while since I last posted but with the holidays coming and everything a bit different this year than in past years, I figured we could all use a little pick me up. I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family. The day, the weather, the location, couldn't have been more perfect. This sweet little girl turned 2 the day of our session, so of course what better way to spend part of the day making memories with her favorite baby yoda by her side. I had a blast hanging out with these 3, she was so excited to walk back from the car with her dad with baby yoda trailing right beside her. Happy Birthday to this adorable little lady, hope she had the very best day a girl could have.

From a beautiful teeny tiny newborn, to a spunky adorable one year old, Charlie definately takes the cake( quite literally ) with best cake smasher ever lol. He had a ball with his cake and capturing these moments is something his parents will cherish forever..

This beautiful baby girl was an absolute dream to photograph. She only woke up to eat then right back to sleep she went. Seriously miss this age and being able to hold my babies, it really does fly by in the blink of an eye..

Love how this one came out:)
NOTE: The final image you see here is actually a total of 3 images. In order to ensure baby's safety , dad had his hands on the baby the entire time . At no point was baby left laying like this by himself. When doing newborn sessions it is better to put together a composite for certain poses/prop shots than to try and risk the safety of the baby.

It's 2:40am and I am editing while watching the snow fall outside my window. The house is quiet with everyone sleeping and before I head to bed I had to post this one image. His daddy bought this car the day before the session and asked if we could use it in the shoot. I bet his daddy is going to be very happy once he sees this:)
NOTE: baby was not left alone at any point while taking this shot. Dad had his hands on the baby at all times to ensure his safety while I was shooting. This one picture is actually 2 pictures combined in photoshop. Newborn safety is my first priority during my sessions and if I feel a requested image is not safe I will not attempt to do it.

Love these types of images. When I had my kids newborn photography wasn't popular, I would have loved having images like these. This family had the best spot with the most beautiful light for family pictures and I am loving how they all came out. How many people have kids that are much older and wish they had pictures like this?

How adorable is he with all of that hair? This baby boy was a super star during his session. His due date was actually the day we photographed his session and in true newborn fashion he slept through the entire thing:)

I got to visit this baby boy last weekend and see how big his sister has gotten in the 3 years since I photographed her newborn session. Such a great session with a ton of laughs and this beautiful boy slept through it all..Love getting my newborn snuggles in:)

Baby Cara turns one! How adorable is this baby girl? From a teeny tiny newborn to a spunky one year old in the blink of an eye. Cara was an absolute dream for both her newborn and one year birthday sessions and I am so thrilled with how her images came out.

Is she not the most adorable baby you have ever seen? This little one was a total rock star during her session. The moment mom brought her out of the car she was all smiles, even with my giant camera around my neck. Couldn't have asked for a better night to do a beach session.
