BigJoey’s passion for smiles may have saved his life!
Hey guys and gals, thank you so much for taking a second to check out my story. My name is Joseph but my friends call me Joey, well i guess that was before. Now my friends have been calling me Big Joey Magic Showy! I had a life threatening brain aneurysm caused by 240/150 blood pressure in 2016. My career of 15 years in cigarette and cigar smoke at the casino was slowly killing me. My weight of 370lbs was stressing out my heart. Not to mention I was smoking ci******es to make matters worse. I was under the impression making MONEY was what we are supposed to do. Make money AT ALL COSTS to save for retirement even if you despise your job. If you're dead you can't have your health.If you don't have your health, you can't work a job. If you can't work a job, you can't make MONEY. Without money it makes it extremely hard to live as we all know.
My fiancé and daughter were terribly worried and I felt that I was to blame, because I was. I let MONEY dictate my life and let myself go. Always being a spiritual man I chose to speak to my source energy, God. With total trust in God, my family, and close friends that supported me in a very tough time of my life, I developed a plan of attack. I put into place a diet, workout regimen, reading/learning regimen. I “unplugged” from cable for two years. No cable, no news, no media to brainwash me. No distractions whatsoever. My eye was on the prize and the prize was life.
Today I am lucky enough to laugh at what was once catastrophic. I am currently 260lb’s and haven't smoked a cigarette in 3 years. Something much more impressive than losing 100lbs, quitting ci******es, and “unplugging” my family from the brainwashing of TV, is I was able to leave my career at the casino and start my own magic business up again. Something I have been doing since I was 8 years old. Now its a full-time career and the word-of-mouth is amazing. I have been getting repeat bookings for multiple events. It hasn't been anything close to easy. I work longer days, with no days off, and any money goes right back into the business. Its truly amazing that I have been blessed with the ability to be alive and entertaining the masses. I get to give people smiles and laughs for a living. I get to make people forget about the world for a short while and laugh.
