12 HIDDEN WEDDING COSTS YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW About

1. Insurance, It is really important to be covered for any inconvenience like injuries, cancelation of the event, venue, get any damages, fires, etc. Not all venues require insurance, but it is better to be covered.

2. Travel Fees, Usually, wedding vendors have to travel to your event destination. If they have to drive more than a certain amount of miles, they will charge a travel fee. Ask your vendors for the cost. If you have a destination wedding, and you hire vendors from your place, you will have to pay for their travel, accommodation, and other expenses too.

3. Taxes and Gratuities, No all the vendors charge for taxes, but gratuities are more common on any service. Example: the catering, florists, or any vendors that have a lot of employees will charge for both. No, all the vendors add them in the proposal, so ask them to give you a quote with everything included.

4. Service Fees, All venues charge these fees to cover their own cost of hiring the servers, bathroom and parking attendance, cake cutting, cork fee for your own drinks, for everything that you provide and their staff needs to take care of.

5. Vendor Trials and Tasting, Some vendors like the florist, the hair stylist, and the makeup artist will charge for a trial. You can let them know exactly what you want and not pay for it, but under your own risk that you won't like it on the day of.
The caterer and baker will usually charge for tasting, especially if they are cooking just for you.

6. Cleanup and Breakdown Costs, Some venues don't charge for these costs if they are providing full service, but the venue that rent the place with only a few services will charge for the cleaning of the place and breakdown of the setup. Some already include them upfront.

7. Non-Venue Approved Professional, Some venues require you to use vendors from their preferred list. If you decide to bring your own, they will charge a fee for it. You can choose a venue without a list or choose someone from it to avoid it.

8. Marriage License Fee, Every city hall will charge you for it. It is a small fee, but you still have to count and add up.
