Gift Certificates are designed by an LA based artist, they are as pretty as the food they promise and they don’t expire so your recipient uses them when it suits their busy calendar!

This is a gift experience, not only is the gift memorable but it repeats over and over when they make the recipes over and over. Yup, we create recipes in the classes or parties, they get the recipes and - I Promise- they are easy enough to make it into their weekly rotation. Just a few new twists and flavors is just what the New Year calls for. If the recipient would like to use the gift certificate to be treated to a private chef experience, we can do that too!

What does the holiday season mean to you?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why I love what I do.

Creating, yes, for sure.
Sharing beautiful fresh food, absolutely. But in truth, it’s the nurturing… the ease, the easy breathe that I can bring to a host/hostess. It’s the “I’ve got this, you enjoy your guests” that I love. And when the guests are exclaiming at how pretty and delicious the food is and the hostess is in a receptive, at ease, space to enjoy the compliments- that’s it!

Here’s to a Holiday season that is about warmth, love and enjoyment.👩🏻‍🌾🍃

It’s a wonderful education to see the distance these garden grown pumpkins go! First roasted for us to be used in upcoming pumpkin bechemels, cranberry muffins and pumpkin soups then discards to the cattle who find it quite a treat!

Lamb stew for those chilly nights, adding turnip and fennel amongst the usual characters 🥕🥔🧅and a splash of apple cider vinegar in the red wine braise gave it that little extra!

Beef prices are rising, our little Dexter cattle crew are becoming a rare breed to see grazing the pastures! This is spot and she sends a happy moo to you!🐄🤠

Imagine it… a chilly sunny morning, a walk out to the chicken coop to gather eggs, a pat for the faithful dog on the head as a thanks for guarding the sheep so well. A scattering of corn for the chickens and a soft smile as you gather eggs that are still warm from the laying. The day welcomes you and the sound of a friendly cows moo beckons your response.

You come in to the sunlit kitchen and make some egg salad and pile it high on that butter lettuce you cut before the freeze.

Yes, it’s a recipe for a simple life and I love it☀️
Egg salad: chopped hard boiled eggs, celery, red onion, lemon zest and juice, vegenaise, parsley and a dash of pepperocini juice for extra flavor. Mix and chill a bit before serving.

The weather report was right!❄️ Glad we picked from the garden so we could have a lovely time creating a garden breakfast with scrambled eggs (eggs fresh from the coop), tiny tomatoes and Bibb letttuce salad with a sprinkle of bee pollen and chia seeds. A light red wine viniagarette and quality olive oil and sprinkle of Celtic salt. Simple and tasty. ☀️It’s sunny at the table and those zinnias are quite happy in their pumpkin home. 👩🏻‍🌾
