There are so many facets to a gathering, do we all agree on everything in life… of course not. But when we gather with an intentional commitment to love and respect for all humankind, beauty shows up. 🌸
Well before an event…the event is created. People like Janie come up with a nourishing notion to offer a day and space to help ground and stabilize people. She invites healers to support her vision.
Everyone involved in a retreat (including the guests!) takes their role seriously, grounding ourselves prior to the event, gathering the best ingredients and sensory experiences possible.
👩🏻🌾I started with a blackberry shrub, hand picked from the event property months earlier. We fermented the berries and extracted the nectar just for these specific guests. Pumpkins and flowers were collected from neighboring farms and the food placed on the table was collected from the garden and local farms. I serve the drinks in vintage mason jars. Janie selected antique tea cups for her closing ceremony and loose tea from Mercantile in Fort Payne.
We served the drinks with intention, the first drink (the shrub) welcoming them to a collective lunch at the table to connect and learn about each other. The tea was the close to the day, a ceremonial sipping and summing up the day. 🫖
This is all intentional, and weaved with yoga, meditation, sound bath and massage to restore us, calm us and prepare for whatever comes our way.
Lean towards one another in tough times, prickly friction is isolating and damages the prickler as much as the prick-lee!
Pick those blackberries despite their brambles and navigate with love. That’s what love will do!🧡
