My husband Mark and I went on an Alaskan cruise last month and we met Kathy and Brandon from Miami at our dinner table on the first evening. They had been dating for 6 years and this was their first cruise together. We enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them.
Our first stop was Juneau, Alaska. Kathy and Brandon had an excursion to take a helicopter ride to the top of Mendenhall Glacier. Brandon ended up proposing to Kathy on the top of the glacier! Swipe right for pics, it was just like a reality TV show😍 Good job Brandon!
When I heard about it at dinner the next night I was so excited for them and we started talking about wedding planning. We joked that it would be fun to coordinate their wedding for them in Miami.
Fast forward to now and Kathy reached out to have us coordinate their wedding day❤️ Miami here we come! So excited to be a part of their love story and to witness their wedding. We love making cruise friends!
I was so excited to be asked by a previous Bride that I worked with to help set-up her sons Korean 1st Birthday party (Doljanchi). The Hacienda in Santa Ana (.hacienda) was a beautiful venue for it!
I loved learning about the Doljabi tradition where the baby crawls over to various items that are set out and chooses an item that predicts their future career/lifestyle. Their baby grabbed the gold bar indicating wealth💰

One of my favorite photo booths at and wedding. Magnisimo Instant Magnets printed the photos on the spot as keepsake magnets! They offered a backdrop and props for photos, but then they also took their camera around to the ceremony and reception to capture pictures of the wedding ceremony and guests at the reception with the venue as the backdrop. They were quick printing and getting you your magnets as well. Michael was great to work with. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique Photo Booth idea.

Got to tour a new event venue in Downtown Fullerton tonight. The Charleston is located in the historic Williams building above Bourbon Street bar near Commonwealth and Harbor cross streets. They are renovating what used to be a dance studio and it’s still a work in progress, but it will be beautiful when it is done.
There are multiple levels and rooms to accommodate different sized events and you can customize how much of the venue you would like to use. They also have great all-inclusive packages.

The title “Day-of Coordinator” can sometimes be misleading. In reality after you have had your free consultation for a quote and book your date then I will start working with you at least a month before your wedding day.
First I help you create your day-of timeline from the minute hair and make-up starts to the last minute when everything is cleaned up in the venue and personal items are loaded in a car.
Two weeks before I reach out to all of your vendors to send them the timeline and confirm any details that they need to know. I also introduce myself as the main contact for the wedding day so that they don’t bother the bride and groom at all.
The week of I help you do a ceremony rehearsal if needed. I also pick up any personal decor items you want used at the venue so I can bring them the day of.
Then finally on the actual day-of I am available for your vendors to contact me all day and at the venue from set-up to break down. I help everything stay on schedule for the day as well.
I hope this helps clarify what “day-of” actually means. After you have done all of the planning it can take a lot of stress off of you in the home stretch.
Vendor friends! and I are planning a vendor social at her Air BnB in February to give tours of the property for vendors to share with clients and for vendors to network. We’re trying to get a feel for interest. Could you comment below with the following.
1. If you would be interested in attending to network and learn more about the Air BnB.
2. If you would be interested in sharing any services at the event, for example, flowers, balloon decor, music, food, rentals and advertise your company at the event.

This couple wanted to have an intimate moment before their wedding ceremony to read their vows, but didn’t want to do a first look. They chose to say their vows back to back so they could still have that first look walking down the aisle. I always say it’s your day so do what works and makes both of you happy. It was a sweet moment❤️

Patty’s Cakes also makes beautiful wedding cakes! I have sampled many of the flavors at weddings and I can vouch that they taste as good as they look😋They don’t use fondant and the frosting is so fluffy. Their delivery is super smooth as well. Definitely consider them for your wedding cake🍰

Got to check out the Agave Room at the Matador in Downtown Fullerton last night with . They have a room and patio that can host bridal showers, baby showers, corporate parties, holiday parties, and small wedding ceremonies and receptions.
They have a great package to use their patio space for 25-35 guests with no minimum purchase that includes buffet service and beverages (non-alcoholic). This would be a great option for wedding rehearsal dinners with close family and friends before the wedding date.

My dear friend helped me to transition my special event career background to the wedding industry 6 years ago. Since then I have been able to work a lot of weddings with her. Vendor Spotlight: I recently had the opportunity to work with . Jodi and Michelle were lovely to work with and they went above and beyond with their florals! They made sure the flowers on the arch could easily be re-used on the sweetheart table. When they ended up with extra flowers they added details to the welcome sign and the ceremony chairs. They made the cake look beautiful with flowers. And they stayed longer to make sure the flowers on the centerpieces looked great! I highly recommend booking these two beautiful friends for your wedding flower needs!
