I haven’t been this surprised or shocked in awhile... This week, my team and I planned, designed, produced and then attended the @minnesotabride Best of Awards event. It’s been 10 months of lead up to this one and a whole lot of work. It took 29 vendors to pull everything together. 600 people attended. We won Best of Decor & Rentals for the @lineneffects side and were nominated for Best Overall Vendor for Jenna Culley Events but I had zero idea that I was going to be given this award for Member of the Year. To be honest, it’s not the award itself that made me cry but it was the speech from @brooke_irondiamond that did it. The actual acknowledgement of everything that we’ve been doing over these last couple of years pushed me over the edge. I’ve spent very little time reflecting on all we’ve accomplished and all I’ve taken on with growing JCE and purchasing Linen Effects - I’ve been too damn busy!😂 - and this moment, with my industry besties cheering me on, brought it all together. Thank you Brooke and @sonja_irondiamond for thinking of me for this award and thank you to my entire crew - my JCE and LE teams, my vendors that make our teams look amazing, my family and friends that makes my home life doable, my entire village - thank you because I could never do what I do without all of you. Seriously, it takes like 40 people just to do my life!😆 And 100% none of this could be done without the guy fanning me with a napkin in this video, @jculley_twin_cities_realtor. He’s (literally) by my side at work and at home and there’s no way any of this would be possible without him. He’s my super fan, my sidekick and my best friend. He’s simply the best. Linen Effects has been a highly respected and reputable décor and event rental company in the Twin Cities for the last 30 years that we have been honored to call a trusted vendor partner. It has been our collaborations that have created the amazing weddings, events and styled shoots you have come to know us for. Adding them under our umbrella of services is going to allow us to serve both of our clientele even better than before. We fully intend to keep both businesses as is; JCE will stay an event planning company and Linen Effects will remain a décor rental company. We also intend to retain both staffs for as long as they’ll stay with us as it has been their expertise and commitment that has led to both of these companies being as successful as they are. We are also ecstatic that the previous owner, Don Jensen, as well as the current General Manager, Kurt Silton, will be remaining with us to guide us as we are making this transition. We are humbled and honored to be entrusted with carrying on the legacy of Linen Effects and excited by the possibilities that will come with having an event planning company and décor rental company under one roof.
