STAY WITH ME:
12pm Wednesday: Rehearsal at The Lodge at Brothers Cove.
and I notice a military looking helicopter hovering by super close . We look and notice smoke
1pm: we get the call that area evacuations have started
Next couple of hours - regular pre-wedding prep.
4pm-ish: evacuations start to effect our vendors- Bride is chill goes with it.
6pm ish- Venue/Resort evacuated
From then until 10am wedding day , we’re multi tasking like crazy to get this wedding moved and set up just like nothing ever happened.
My’Ly - owner of & Director/Manager/ Boss Babe of The Lodge at Brothers Cove came along side me to pivot and over come.
While she worked on venue replacement, evacuation updates, & much more, I was on vendor , Bride & logistics duty.
EVERY CALL I MADE TO OUR VENDORS WAS MET W/ “WE’VE GOT YOU. JUST LET US KNOW WHAT TO DO “.
