Hey there,

I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted an update, honestly, it's been a blur to me.

Quick Recap: I was in an auto accident in Dec 2019 that caused several injuries to my spine. Since then I've had an artificial disc put in my neck, and more recently I had an anterior interbody lumbar fusion (don't watch any youtube videos on it while eating).

I continue to get somewhat better, the operations were excellent at alleviating most of my nerve symptoms, but I find I still can't stand for more than 4-hours or sit for more than 2, lifting anything over 15lbs causes a good deal of pain, furthermore like a bad game of dominoes I am starting to have new nerve affecting symptoms as lower levels in the neck start to crack.

all in all, I'd say Luckier than most who are in similar accidents. on the plus side, I'm an inch taller after the last surgery! I had shrunk an inch over the years, and now I am back to my high school height! 😂

We don't know where ten year old Lexi's life began or what her younger years were. We do know that as a ten year old senior, she was dumped somewhere between California and Las Vegas. She was found by some travelers and picked up.

They tried to keep her but discovered she was not good with other dogs and so somehow she found herself in a New Mexico shelter. She stayed for a very long time as the staff there fell in love with her. They initially found her original owner through her microchip.

This owner, whom Lexi had loved wholeheartedly told the shelter to just euthanize her because she wasn't going to come get her.

We first met Lexi on a photo shoot to help the long term dogs of the New Mexico Shelter. Hearing her story, we just KNEW that there must be somebody out there who could love her, give her the home she deserves and would cherish this always happy, peppy girl.

And so we said yes. Yes to Lexi, yes to wishing on a star that we can find a home for a SENIOR, BLACK, PIT BULL - the odds are stacked against her, but with your shares, it is possible.

Please help us get her to the best home in the entire world through sharing, fostering or even adoption!

Lexi loves bum scratches, she is house trained, crate trained, adores other male dogs her size who are non-reactive, loves kids!
