LIFE UPDATE 🤍

To everyone who has reached out with care and concern during my time away — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your kindness means more than you know.

This year has been a turning point for me, marking the most transformative healing season of my life. After some unforeseen events in 2024, I’ve made a decision that feels both liberating and overdue: I’m prioritizing living my life beyond the boundaries of this business.

Let me be clear — I’m not quitting. Not now. Not ever.

But after six years of pouring so much into this platform, I’ve discovered something incredible: FREEDOM.

Freedom in stepping back, in breathing deeper, in living more fully outside of constantly capturing moments for others.

Officially taking on just two weekends out of each month to work will give me the time & space I need next year.

I’ll return to posting on here, but for now, I’m embracing this extended break with open arms. God has been doing some powerful work on my heart, reminding me of one profound truth: life is meant to be truly LIVED, not just documented.

If you’re reading this, I want you to know this too: Your worth is NOT tied to how you show up on this app. My prayer for you is that you’ll carve out time to step back, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Here’s to a beautiful holiday season and a New Year filled with peace, purpose, and BOLDNESS.

The Hagley Museum and Library is a historic wedding venue in Wilmington, Delaware. The venue is located on the property of a nineteenth-century estate, the original home of the du Pont family, Eleutherian Mills – now home to the Hagley Museum. 🏛️ 🍇 🌿

Nick & Lauren’s wedding was incredible. Close friends and family surrounded the bride and groom. The towering trees, lush heirloom gardens, and their choice of a black-and-white theme made this day special in its own way.

When an engagement session comes with a Southern twist! 🐴

Tyler and Sydney decided to visit South Carolina one weekend to see a gorgeous chapel at sunrise. Sydney sensed something was up when Tyler kept asking her if she wanted to get up and take a picture *oh so* early. She decided to go, thinking that something special might be just around the corner.

And she was right! Tyler got down on one knee and immediately popped the question. 😍💍

We had SO MUCH FUN at their engagement session. VERY excited for these two to get married next month! 🍂

Backyard weddings have been such a unique experience for me. This one was STUNNING in every way!

From the pearly veil down to all the vibrantly colored centerpieces, this summer wedding was truly one-of-a-kind. 🌿✨

James and Natalie had their engagement session at Fifer’s Farm Store & Kitchen in Wyoming. This place is very laid-back and hosts a century-long legacy that began when Charles Frederick Fifer moved his family from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to the lands of Kent County, Delaware. From here, he pursued his passion for growing high-quality fruits and vegetables. 🥕🍏🥗

Today — the legacy continues through the fourth generation of the Fifer family. We had a great time picking flowers and indulging in ice cream.

This warm weather has me thinking about heading to the beach before Labor Day! 🌴🦀

Brooke contacted me about capturing her engagement session in Lewes. Gary’s proposal to her was just TOO SWEET.

These two went to Aruba for their second dating anniversary. They walked down the beach for a while to get some good sunset pictures. While Brooke was down by the water, Gary asked a couple to take photos and video of them because he told them about his plan to propose. 💍✨

Before Brooke knew it, Gary was down on one knee, asking her to marry him, and she immediately said yes. That night, they celebrated with a romantic candlelit dinner and called all their family members.

I’m looking forward to their wedding at King Cole Farm next June! 😍

CASEY & SADIE

Get yourself ready for this story because it is a GOOD ONE! 👇🏻

This future bride & groom planned a trip to Lake Placid, New York. Sadie felt Casey would propose on this trip but did not set any expectations. *just in case.* On one of the days, these two went on quite a hike. Casey’s the hiking enthusiast and Sadie? Well… not so much.

Going up Whiteface Mountain, which is almost 5,000 feet in elevation and 10 miles high in length, it was already a straight vertical incline. Sadie wondered if she was going to make it even halfway through. Casey constantly checked on her and tried having a full discussion while hiking up such a high slope. Meanwhile, she was wishing he wouldn’t. Homegirl was humbled by how out of shape she was.

While they were elevating, Casey and Sadie encountered some snow and ice. It became VERY treacherous. Sadie was clinging to trees and branches just hoping they wouldn’t snap. Meanwhile, Casey was slipping here and there… frightening Sadie because he was in front leading.

Halfway through – Sadie asked out of exhaustion, “Do I get a Gold Medal at the end of this?” Instantly, Casey replied with a simple “Yup.” While scaling up the mountain, these two were on their hands and knees. The views were stunning when they finally stopped at the lookout point. It felt like a dream being there.

Sadie looks off into the distance enjoying the view and catching her breath – proud of herself for climbing up the mountain. At that moment, Casey pulled her in, hugged her tightly, and gave her several kisses. He had the CHEESIEST grin on his face. Before Sadie could speak, he kneeled and pulled the ring out of his pocket.

Sadie’s first words were, “What are you doing? You’re not tying your shoe, are you?” Casey said, “Well you said you wanted a Gold Medal when you got to the top.” He proceeded to say all the sappy romantic things… and then popped the big question. 😍💍✨

JONATHAN & VERONICA

These two had the most perfect and “cozy” proposal.

While away in Jamaica on a cruise (*PINCH ME*), Jonathan rolled over and asked if he was ready to marry Veronica. They had just settled on their first home. It happened to be Jonathan’s childhood home and has been in his family since the early 1950s.

Veronica STILL jokes that Jonathan never got down on one knee, but they knew it was time! And with her dream ring, how could she say no? 💍

Since they are getting married next spring at Smyrna’s Historic Belmont Hall, we decided to capture their engagement pictures there.

I am SWOONING.

You two sure know how to make a photographer CRY.

This gorgeous wedding was captured at Venue 54, with the bride and groom hosting close friends and family, making it exceptional.

The venue is modern and classic, which provides a relaxing atmosphere for all the guests to enjoy. Upon arriving at the entrances, you’ll be welcomed by a charming outdoor cocktail space – complete with custom seating and beautifully landscaped patios.

The grand crystal chandeliers, rustic wooden beams, brick accents, farm tables, and grand staircase took my breath away while everyone was inside the venue dancing.

As if the venue wasn’t already perfect enough, the DJ and “something blue” hues were the two big takeaways from this day.

Congratulations to you both!
