A year ago today I lost my best friend in Crypto. This photo and video was the last time I saw him. He’s the one recording as I’m on stage presenting Crypto Crate.
His death hit me hard. I had never experienced having a close friend pass on before. The strong anger and sorrow I had felt sometimes still comes and goes a little every now and then.
Everyone who knew James knew that he was an absolute hustler and he worked hard for his family and community. Overall, it paid off and I am proud of my friend. He was also a fantastic community leader, always there to help others and teach them about blockchain or how to invest in cryptocurrency. He had a big heart and he was loved by many.

James taught me a thing or two about sales, and while I’m not a solid shark like him, I still can hear some of the things he would say to me when he’d give some advice. "You need to read more. You need to get up earlier. You need to get a side job. You are a leader. You were on the top of the world. You are going to be okay. We're going to fix this."
Him and our friend Richard were right by my side holding my hand after I had lost my holdings I had for 4 years in #celsius. Either one of them called me each day to check on me and see how I was handling it.
The amount of loss last year was completely unsurmountable thus far in my lifetime. It has taken every inch of me to keep going. But I have many amazing friends who have been there every now and then to remind me of my ‘why’ and that this company (and I) is worth fighting for.
So, I continue to build #cryptocrate and I still fulfill my #etsy orders. And James is still here making me laugh like a crazy person now in the shape of voices, or… the occasional mourning dove visit -which I like to think is a reminder from him that I am on the right path.
Thank you James for being such a huge impact on those in the community, and for me.
