It’s been an amazing journey back. Can’t hardly believe it ourselves. This song is the perfect reintroduction. Think of it as the sequel to our song Losing. The miracle of the moment when we finally forgive is what fueled the genesis of this song “Suddenly”

Our Story

The question we get asked most is “How did The Lighthouse Events come to be”?

I guess the story starts back in California. In the early 1990’s I was a commercial fisherman in Alaska and had been for over a decade. After a bad accident and some surgery to repair my shoulder I was approached by a guy from Family Radio. He offered me a job in radio expansion and I took him up on the offer.

That started my career in radio for a better part of the last 20 years. I have worked for 20 ministries from Calvary Chapel to K-LOVE and Air 1 Radio. In 2005, Gail my wife of 16 years, felt the Lord calling us to do something different. We were part of a dynamic church in Granite Bay, California called Bayside Church, where Lincoln Brewster was our worship leader. We were helping KLOVE and Air 1 radio expand across the country. After praying to see what God had in store for us we ended up in Maine working for a local Christian radio station. It was hard to leave California and family and friends but when God says go, you go. After being with the station for a few months it was not a good fit so we parted ways in 2008.

So there we were in Freeport Maine trying to understand what God’s plan was. Why did he call us to move all the way across the country. After much prayer and seeking, Gail came up with the idea of a Christian concert ministry. She encouraged me to start The Lighthouse Events, after all I had been around Christian music for 20 years.
