One year with our sweet Baby Charlotte! (Will we always call her Baby Charlotte?!? …probably! 😂)

Being pregnant the second time around was tough - a cross country move, a medical scare halfway through, and lots of back pain in the last few months…but her arrival into this world couldn’t have been smoother - a speedy delivery at 8:18 am, which was so much nicer than 2 in the morning! And the moment I saw her, it was love at first sight. 😍

People always say she’s such a serious baby, but we know the truth—she’s giggly and goofy when she’s with the people she loves and trusts most! She’s a dream come true and is so, so loved!

💕 Charla-bean is 11 months old! 💕

Our sweet little one is such a joy! Her personality is starting to show more and more and she’s getting really good at letting us know how she feels. Some of her current likes include toast, pancakes, and being held by mama. Her dislikes include berries, brushing teeth, and being put down.

I can’t believe next month is her first birthday!!! Who gave her permission to grow up so fast?! 😉

🥳 Charlou-lou is 10 months old! ✨

This girl loves to move! She’s crawling everywhere and pulling up to stand - I think she’s trying to keep up with (or get away from?!) big sis! 😉 She also waves hello and goodbye and is becoming quite the chatterbox. 😍

We love this girl - and her wild and crazy spiky hair 😂 - sooooo much!

🥰 Nine months old! 💕

This month we visited family in Asheville and Charlotte maybe, kind of, sort of…but probably not 😉…is saying ‘Dada!’

She is such a delight and I am so lucky to get to snuggle her and squeeze her and kiss her little marshmallow cheeks every day.

🍒 Sweet baby Charlotte is 8 months old! 🍒

This adorable little basket of biscuits sits up, army crawls everywhere, loves sweet potatoes, and still giggles every time she sees her big sister!

We visited Maryland and saw my grandma, dad, and stepmom and also drove up to the Jersey shore for a quick visit with more of Jim’s family. ☀️

✨ Charlotte is 7 months old! ✨

She’s eating solid foods…sort of?! More like smooshing food around in her high chair and throwing spoon after spoon (…after spoon) on the floor. 🤦‍♀️

We went to the beach with sweet baby Charlotte but seemed pretty ambivalent about the sand and sun. However, she sure did love all of the snuggles from her extended family. 💕

Charlotte is half a year old - how is that even possible?! 🤯

She’s rolling everywhere and it’s as cute as can be…until she gets stuck under a chair or a table. 😂 Charlotte also has her two bottom teeth which make her smiles and laughter extra cute!

We can’t seem to decide what her nickname is - Gracie was our Giggles and our Goober almost immediately, but Charlotte is a work in progress. Gracie calls her Charloulou, and it *is* pretty adorable, but will it stick? Only time will tell ;)

Baby Charlotte is five months old! 🎈

Our sweet and serious little girl still saves most of her smiles for big sis, who unfortunately wasn’t around to give her the giggles for this month’s photo shoot. 🤣

Charlotte is rolling over (swipe to see 😂) and cooing and babbling and it’s just so adorable! She got her first little tooth this month which has been…an adventure…😒

She’s the perfect addition to our family and we all love her so, so, much! 💕

Gracie giggles is TWO years old and I still can’t believe it! 🍓

She’s talkative (I wonder where she gets that from? 😉), opinionated, and so much fun! She is a friend to everyone, her laughter is contagious and she loves snacks more than just about anything else. I think that pretty much sums things up. 🦆

I feel pretty lucky to be her mom! 💕

Happy four months, Baby Charlotte!

We can’t believe how big she’s getting! She’s out of her swaddle, allllmost rolling over, and she smiles and chuckles the most at her big sister.

Also she wakes up approximately 1,006,732 times a night. If I drank coffee, I’d ask you to send me a cup ;) ☕️

🎈Three months with baby Charlotte!

This girl is smiling up a storm and has even given us a giggle :) She still loves being worn and held but has been known to take a nap or two in her bassinet and give my arms (and back!) a rest! 😅

We alllllll got sick this month, but we’re finally (finally!!!) on the mend and looking forward to a first visit with Uncle Kris, Aunt Brandy, Aunt Patti and Uncle Joey :)

💐 Feeling a little nostalgic this Valentine’s Day - it was always such a fun and exhausting time to work with flowers and I really miss it!

I’m flirting with the idea of bringing Lemon Tree to the east coast…but it’s a little trickier without the dedicated studio space and prime Bay Road location. Oh, and a job and two kids 🤷‍♀️…

So for now I’ll just take a stroll down memory lane with a few pictures of some of my favorite Valentine’s Day flower stands 💕

✨ Happy two months, sweet Charlotte!

She’s getting so big - her chubby cheeks and legs are too much! Gracie is still obsessed with her and wants to show her EVERYTHING! We loved library storytime when we were listening to a book about things that start with P and Gracie just shouts “Look Baby Charlotte! Penguins!” 🐧

We’re still figuring out some reflux stuff (tips welcome!) to help Charlotte get more comfortable and to help all of us get more sleep. But we love, love, love her slightly suspicious personality 😒 (swipe for her classic sus face 😂) and can’t wait to get to know her better as the months go on. 💕

Charlotte is a month old today!

We all love her so, so much - especially her big sis, Gracie! We’re pretty sure Gracie thinks Charlotte’s full name is ‘Charlotte Gentle’ because she wants to hug her *so* tight all the time that we have to remind her again and again (and again…) to be gentle. 😂

This has also been a really hard month. I really wanted to be that cool, experienced mom who doesn’t panic Google all the things at 2 am…but that’s not the case. In fact, I feel like I’m *more* anxious the second time around - what’s up with that?!

Her sweet snuggles and forever furrowed brow melt our hearts. 💕

Planting the first seeds...

A kindergarten teacher at heart, I knew when I started this business, I wanted to combine my love of flowers, color, and design with the joy I feel each day in the classroom watching my students learn a new skill or master a new concept. That’s how the first seed was planted for Lemon Tree Floral Design. This is more than a florist, or design studio, where the creative magic happens behind-the-scenes. Here, I want creativity to be front and center; encouraging kids (and kids at heart!) to get their hands dirty and learn and explore with natural materials and supplies. I hope we will have a lovely time together!
