It’s been awhile since I’ve shown my face - so for anyone who hasn’t met me yet - Hi 👋 I’m Katie! The face behind That’s Darling Events.
I love planning and coordinating weddings, bringing couples visions to life, and seeing them truly enjoy their day. But here are some other random facts about me!
• I’m a police wife, (my husband is a state trooper), so we both have irregular work schedules which can be good and bad
• I met my husband in college and we’ve been married 9 years (together 16 - still can’t believe how fast time goes!)
• I’m a Mom to two girls who are full of personality, Ava (5) and Sienna (1). They are the sweetest blessings
• I’m for sure a summer, warm weather girl, but Christmas is still my favorite holiday despite the cold
• When I was little when I grew up I wanted to be a teacher, a tv show host, and a singer in a band (I cannot sing!). Very happy I landed on wedding planning (after working in finance for a while!)
• The beach is my happy place - I live for vacations although we don’t get to travel often! I love researching and planning travel ideas/itineraries
• Obsessed with looking at homes for sale online even though I’m not in the market. Also love looking at house plans, even though I’ll likely never build!
• I love a fun night out but also am happy cuddled in bed watching a cheesy romance show/movie or reality tv (send me all the good recs!)
• Instant mood boosters: iced coffee, good food, glass of wine, sunshine, music (And of course a beautiful wedding!!)
