Today, Erika and Wendell will gather with loved ones at the beautiful Lorian Hotel in Alexandria, VA to renew their vows after 25 years of marriage.
In July of 2018, Erica woke up with terrible stomach pains. She had always dealt with stomach issues, so she didn’t think much of it. She was under 50 and wasn’t a candidate for annual colonoscopies yet. Eventually, the pain became too much to bear, and she was referred to a gastric doctor. She had a CT scan which revealed a blockage and a tumor. She was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She underwent surgery and 9 difficult months of chemotherapy. Sadly, this past year her cancer spread. She is currently undergoing more treatment in hopes of slowing the spread of her disease.

WHAT.A.WEDDING. I had the opportunity to DJ for one of the city’s best wedding photographers, my dear colleague & friend & her husband absolutely amazing ceremony & reception at the Anderson House in DuPont Circle.
Just to be chosen by a colleague to work an event like this is such an honor. When someone works so many weddings with so many different vendors, it really goes without saying to note how much something like this means to me! I was really thrilled to be a part of this day, and honored to be amongst such amazing vendors!

I had such an amazing time with Caitlin & Jeffrey at their wedding & reception yesterday! I provided ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception sound along with DJing their dance party!

was definitely a HUGE success, with special shout out to their amazing centerpieces, which featured books from their personal combined collections that their guests got to take home as gifts! What an awesome idea! Definitely have to call out the good stuff when you see it!

I was definitely honored to be a part of their day! Thanks so much for having me!

What an amazing day, what an amazing view, & what an amazing wedding & reception! I was honored to be a part of my good friend Lisa’s day that was originally delayed last October due to the pandemic. Lisa & Rick we’re finally able to celebrate their love with their friends & family at the amazing ! They honestly partied so hard I thought my equipment was going to get knocked over!

Thank you so much for having me as part of your day. I am continually humbled by the fact that I’ve been trusted by so many couples with such an important moment in their lives. My family is wishing yours all the best, and I am truly happy that you both were finally able to celebrate your day!
