Love & Flowers

Alta Vista Flowers is a name that has recognition, it has been around for over 70 years. Our journey started back in 2004, Michael LeRoy original owner since 1995 with his wife at the time Linda (Rushleau) LeRoy. She was an employee of Alta Vista Flowers back when it was at its original location on Billings Ave. Her and Michael purchased the flower shop from the Parsons and moved the flower shop to 1645 Bank St. They ran the flower shop together until her untimely passing in 2003. Michael and I (Karen (Pattington) LeRoy) met in 2004. I had newly separated from my spouse, I found myself alone with my two year old son Jacob, at the time living in the country near St. Bernardin, living less than a kilometre away from my 130 acre organic family farm wear I grew up. Mike and I met online through Yahoo Personals, a now defunct online dating service. We were both unsure of the dating world, he a widowed father of two children, Alex and Alicia and me with my son Jacob. I was at the time of our meeting working as a trail coordinator on the Prescott Russell Recreational Trail working with the Prescott Russell County and not for profit group. My contract had come to its end. Michael had suggested that I come and help out, help manage the flower shop, I at that point had known nothing of flowers. I had spent a majority of my life growing up on a farm, my youth was spent running through fields of crops or pulling weeds out of roadside ditches.
