Hey. Hi. I’m Lauren the owner of this little business and I just crushed 7 events in 2 weeks so I’m here to tell you about it. 💪🏼💪🏼 For those of you who don’t know me in real life, a friend of mine wrote this bio for me today so I figured, why not break out the new headshots by and take advantage of it.

Lauren McQuillan is a skilled event planner and a devoted mother. She joined in the fight to end human trafficking with a self-disclosed fury toward the injustice of exploitation. Since 2022, Lauren has used her expertise in event planning and floral design to facilitate vital awareness-raising events including the Freedom Gala and Freedom 4/24’s annual 5k, “Run for Their Lives,” in addition to presenting the Equipped Workshop, an introductory course on human trafficking designed for groups of parents and caregivers. Lauren’s vision is to create a safer and more justice-driven world for the future generations and empower her local community of Central Virginia to grow in love and wellness. When she is not working, Lauren can be found spending intentional time with her family, advancing her health through yoga, and going for walks with her French Bulldog, Re*****on.

Max & Dexter is a Design Firm specializing in beautiful, branded, budget-conscious weddings and events. Lauren founded the business in 2012 and named it after her son-Maximus and Boston Terrier- Dexter. M&D operates primarily out of Central Virginia and South Jersey but will travel or work remotely to help you create and facilitate your brand anywhere!
