Parties are back on!

It’s been such a crazy year. Onwards and upwards now🤞🏼🙏🏼

I’ve been vaccinated since early April, and parties are certainly picking back up. There’s also new measures for utmost safety in place, such as doing a quick drench in sanitizer spray in between friends. And I stocked up on *hundreds* of $ of new sponges, so even if your event was six hours (like the Solano Sip And Stroll 😍 last weekend), every friend got a fresh new sponge for their design 👍🏼

First update since COVID19:

Hope you’re doing well! And I hope to see you as soon as we’re all able ❤️

I’ve been quite depressed over the lack of parties and face painting. I miss birthday parties so so much! February is typically the beginning of the busy season, so the pandemic effectively shut everything down right when it was meant to be picking up. *Sigh*

Meanwhile, some of my previous FP clients needed a nanny while they are hard at work. So that’s been my day to day- hanging out with this lovely, creative, joyful, sassy, inquisitive four year old 😍 Who just so happens to love when we break out the paints. So I’ve been getting to do some FP even in quarantine times. And I was very lucky to pivot back to nannying fulltime, as I did before starting Laura Lemon Face Painting

I’ve been thinking about how we’ll handle it all when things open back up. Your family and friend’s safety is as always a top concern. None of us knows what the future will look like, but of course we’re all hoping for the best and a quick end to this virus.

So, I’m very sorry for all your Littles who are having their birthdays during lockdown. It’s a hard time to be a kid! And a parent ❤️ My next few posts will have art project ideas, fun science experiments, excellent educational resources, our favorite kid-yoga channel, afternoon crafts, simple baking and more 😊

Some of you I’ve had the joy to paint for the previous five years of birthdays. It’s so weird and surreal to have this gap from life-as-normal. Everyone will have gotten so big! I can’t wait to see you all again! Fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later
