Tip Tuesday: Getting comfortable setting up a portable electric fence takes away so much stress when traveling with your b***os to a race or trailhead.

This setup is easily available from Tractor Supply or Big R for about $150-200. You’ll need (10) step-in posts, a small metal bar about 12-18inches long for the grounding rod, a roll of e-fence wire and a Dcell or solar charger! That’s it!

For this feature Friday comes two b***os from Montana! Dawn Lundstrom Brennan adopted Ziggy and Benny from the BLM Wild Horse and B***o Program.

Benny, in the blue halter came first as a two-year-old and he is now five. Ziggy, came as a yearling and he is now two. This is her first time owning b***os and they have taught Dawn so much. Ziggy is laid back and is a go with the flow kinda guy . Benny requires a much slower introduction to new things, but they both appear to enjoy being out on the trails. They were able to do two separate overnight pack trips successfully. So much fun!!This spring Dawn and her duo will resume working on being ponied behind a horse and extend our trips to multiple nights.

2024 Turquoise Trail Pack Burro Race start in Cerrillos, Nee Mexico

The 2024 Turquoise Trail Pack Burro Race! Thank you everyone for coming out! 64 teams kicked off the start to an amazing day in Cerrillos, NM 🎥 Kathy Olshefsky

See you all tomorrow (Sat) at 10:00AM in Cerrillos! Bring the family- it’s free! There will be 60 donkeys, Art in the Park with dozens of vendors, and the most athletic burro competition you’ve ever seen. Protip: arrive early to secure parking. But if you miss the start donks will be coming back to the finish line (on Main Street) through about noon.

Let’s go! Who is ready for Cerrillos!?
