One day in SF and we packed in a lot.

The trolls at are wonderful. Highly recommend.
A quick dip, waffles, hot tub time and a visit from the SF fire department to dislodge Friday from a baby swing and we were set.

30 hours, 13 firefighters and 5 trolls later. That’s a wrap on that adventure.

The evening was lovely. Girly. Joyful. I was almost as equally happy to celebrate as I was that she had outdoor air conditioners for the 100 degree heat. Now, that’s a friend. Thinking of her wilting flower friend on her special day.

The bigger the bow the closer to joy. Or, something like that.

My love of flowers started with my Grandmother’s father and maybe even before then. Living in the e middle of California with plenty of sun and decent soil, he made a little garden with her. He taught her appreciation for the earth and what grows from it.

He planted the seed with her. What grew was a lifetime of prioritizing flowers and a connection to the natural world.

Four generations later, I have made a choice to get in the way of beauty at every opportunity.

Summer has started and I am full of complaints. In an effort to lean in, I have declared this the summer of the popsicle and here by commit to a 〰️ popsicle is life 〰️ mentality.

School ended, we swim every day, my gardenias are at the height of their beauty, cool baths work to lower my temperature and 💯 agree that trees can be friends.

Can’t wait for October.
