I finally made it out to my good friend Rush’s new property around Arnaudville, LA. He purchased the property with the intent to renovate the old home on it and create an environment of farming and sustainability. It’s a beautiful old home surrounded by 100 year old oak trees. Looking forward to helping out and witnessing this transformation.

My communication started with Larry while I was still in New Orleans planning our trip to Montana. I stumbled across his page while searching for hat stores around Bozeman. After looking over their page I realized that this is probably a place I should call. Larry answered the phone immediately and we started a pleasant conversation about the Open Road hat. He had them in stock! Fast forward 2 weeks later. I give Larry a call once we landed in Montana. He remembered me and our conversation and was able to set us up on a Sunday afternoon. We drove the 20 miles from Virginia City up to Norris for our appointment. Larry was amazing! Not only did he fit my hat incredibly well but offered amazing stories and conversations while doing it. There shop is nestled against a hill on his wife’s family ranch. I believe they are the third?.. generation there? Don’t quote me on that. But all in all an amazing experience. A Real Montana Haberdashery! So I made their portrait. Thanks Larry!
