It is important to keep family traditions, and one way is through food. As a mother I want my children to continue our traditions but in a healthy way. All of our products are all natural with fresh made ingredients. There is absolutely no msg in any of our products. I only use pink Himalayan sea salt and fresh herbs and spices to flavor the foods. free organic. I started this journey while facing some harsh realities. When you have family members who become ill and you know it is do to consumption of products because they keep the cultural tradition, and while reading labels you see msg as the first ingredient and sodium in exorbitant amounts or the amounts of sugars in these products contain. We wanted to make the same delicious foods but with natural ingredients and no preservatives. Please join me in keeping our family traditions without all of the additives.

Today is the national Puerto Rican day parade in New York City. The second largest in the United States next to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Today we celebrate our flag, and our culture with music, food and family.. stop on by today to get your PR food fix. We have sorollitos back on the menu. We made fresh rice pudding last night. Good morning, I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone of our new hours. I also forgot to mention that we will be open on Mondays on the previous post. If you have Catering needs on any of our closed days, we should be able to accommodate you. We would like to thank everyone that came out to celebrate Mother’s Day. We want to apologize to those we had to turn away yesterday. Our phone system was down yesterday and early this morning but now it’s up and running. Our new hours are going to be Thursday through Sundays and we will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesday. This will allow us to open for brunch on Sundays and fulfill many of our catering orders. Our new Togo menus will be coming in next week. We have done some tweaks to the menu. Happy Monday, just want to update everybody on some upcoming information and dates. Reservations are required for the Mother’s Day lunch/dinner as we will have live music and specialized menu we need to know ahead of time. We will be closing on Tuesdays from now on and will begin opening on Sundays from Mother’s Day forward. We will also be updating our menu and website. I will post that when it’s ready. Food truck will begin running this weekend but I will post about that Wednesday. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call, message or email.

Today’s soup is chicken and rice. We need some heat to defrost from this cold. All of our food is fresh made daily and never reheated. We do not use the “typical” seasonings that other do, no msg or little orange food packets. We only use fresh ingredients and annato oil (achiote) for color. Unfortunately our system had many glitches which caused some setbacks and we apologize.
