To us, it is the largest motivating factor in doing what we do. It’s fleeting and hard to nail down, but when you can grasp true inspiration, you enable yourself to build something that transcends your day-to-day. No one sets out to create something new without first being inspired to do so. It is the catalyst for the exceptional and it is the engine that drives our core. That’s probably not what

you typically read in wedding vendor’s “about” pages, but we think it’s more important for you to know WHY we’re called to produce the work that we do. Of course, we’re passionate about cameras and story-telling and art. We feel like that’s a given. It’s seeking inspiration to pair with that passion that motivates us to continually push our own limits creatively. Weddings allow us the perfect setting to explore that inspiration. We approach weddings like we approach a film set. Not in the sense that we have a ton of crew or giant grip trucks full of lights at your event (it’s rather the opposite, actually), but in that we’re supplied with everything we would need to tell a great story. The venues we work at are better than most sets we could dream up. There’s already hair, make-up, and terrific wardrobe. You couldn’t get a better performance out of an actor when it comes to emotionally delivering vows. Those pieces are the logistics that you have to create on a set, but at a wedding, they are a given. Our job is to tell the unique story happening that day. We get inspired by the things you give us to work with and, again, that is what drives us to create our art.

Where do you begin to describe over a decade of work? And not just work, but life. “Blueberry” has been a business, but it’s also been a home. Built over so many years. So many shoots. So many long nights and early mornings. Countless wins and probably the same amount of losses. Our goal has always been to make a product that was creative and engaging, but when I think about what Blueberry means to me — It’s not the photos or videos, it’s the friendship and the family it’s come to symbolize.

We are extremely thankful that our message of art, heart, and irreverence found a place to live in our community. We are extremely thankful for those people and companies that trusted us to tell their stories. We are extremely thankful for all of the many folks we’ve worked with along the way; mostly just our friends who happened to be talented with a camera. We are extremely thankful for the people Blueberry transformed us into.

I think it’s extremely rare to end a business on your own terms, especially with a business partner. We feel so fortunate to have had this experience. We trusted each other every step of the way. We never lied to each other. We never took advantage of each other. And because of that, we have always been able to be honest with each other. We’ve always trusted each other. And now we can assuredly step into our next chapters celebrating what came before and be proud of the work we did and who we’ve become.

Why hello, Friday.  Is it us you’re looking for?  If so, mark yourselves lucky because here we are.  Here for it.  About it.  Young and restless.  Hungry for more.  Something like that 😜

This photo was taken recently in Ohio, where we (Adam and my wife, ) were visiting Austin and his wife, Megan.  It was our first trip up since they purchased their new home so it was exciting to see the new digs and visit with them and their 🐱, Bokeh, and 🐶, Dempsey.  AND WE GOT A WINTER WONDERLAND!  ❄️ ⛄️

We’re covering more distance than ever these days with offices in NC and OH and projects all over the place ✈️ We’ve always had a about us and we’re both excited to continue explore new lands and create new memories and adventures.
