Our Favorite Moments of 2020
To say that 2020 was challenging is maybe the understatement of the millennium. We mark ourselves fortunate to have made it through and to have worked with such gracious couples and families. Here are a few of our favorite moments from the past year, reminding us that even in our darkest moments there is always room for light and love.
Our last wedding of the year and she was a beaut! Amanda and Zach’s bright wedding day was a reminder of the love that’s in the world and how much sweeter the joy is when you’ve overcome so much to get to that point. May your season be merry and bright, friends.

Everyone has their opinion about whether you should or shouldn't have one.
We feel there is a common misconception that by opting for a first look you will be minimizing your ceremony entrance.
But we beg to differ! A first look creates yet another amazing moment during your wedding day.
And you still get the amazing bridal entrance.
That still happens. It's still epic.
There's still music playing. Everyone still stand up to watch you walk down the aisle.
It's still emotional.
Only now, you also have this really tender moment between you and your partner. Just the two of you. Which we've seen to be very special in-and-of itself.
And there's a BONUS! You get extra time to spend together on your wedding day!
In most cases you can knock out family portraits early, allowing you more time for photo and video of the two of you (in the best light).
Not to mention you can actually be a part of your cocktail hour.
In short, there's a lot to love about first looks.
Who doesn't love a great first look? How about the first look with your bridesmaids?!
Those final moments getting ready are so meaningful. We love all the intricate details -- lace on your wedding gown, heirloom earrings from grandma, and the veil. We are suckers for a veil!
We love the sense of excitement that fills the room when you're finally READY. When your best people get to see you for the first time in THE dress.
Which is why we love these clips of Maggie's bridesmaids seeing her for the first time.
We're here for all of the emotional moments on your wedding day.
It seems simple enough, but your wedding film and photos are some of the only tangible things you’ll have to remember your wedding day by.
Of course, you’ll have your rings and your wedding dress (but who is really wearing their dress on the reg?), but there’s precious few things left after all the excitement has passed.
This is when the value of your wedding memories skyrocket. And we know that it’s sometimes hard to see that value while you’re planning for THE day. It’s crystal clear after the wedding, though.
We may be slightly biased, but we wholeheartedly believe that a wedding film is one of the best investments you can make during your planning process, especially considering the value it will hold years from now.
It seems a bit cliche to discuss the value of a wedding video, but it’s absolutely true. We’ve seen that value come to life over the years as our couples from 8, 9, and 10 years ago are still sharing their video on social media for their anniversary.
In short, we believe that a well-produced wedding film that tells your story holds a ton of value today, tomorrow, and years from now. We know not investing in a wedding film is a #1 regret from brides after the fact. Interestingly, we’ve never heard that go the opposite way.
No one ever regrets having a wedding film. 💙

We are honestly at a loss for where to even begin to describe Meredith West and West Owens' wedding. Should we start with the incredible emotion they showed each other at every turn?
