Today was Enchilada Day at Jack’s! Jack’s is the school lunch brand of Righteous Kitchen and today we hand rolled more than 700 enchiladas for kiddos throughout Chicagoland! Plus rice, corn, fresh fruit and milk. Lucky kids!

• Part-time approx. 9 a.m. – early afternoon Monday-Friday
• Flexibility of school calendar and drive company vehicle
• Starting pay range: $12 /hour with lots of growth potential
• Must pass background check, be reliable, have a clean driving record, have good communication and problem solving skills, be friendly and personable, and be able to lift 25-50 pounds as needed. Kitchen experience preferred but not necessary.

In March of 2020, 1 very long year ago, we turned our kitchen into a hospital commissary to keep our local healthcare workers sustained and nourished as they faced the terrifying unknowns of this virus. That commissary was all sustained by generous donations.

Here we are, 1 year later, and while there are fewer unknowns and plenty of signs of hope that this is the beginning of the end of this terrible year - healthcare workers are still fighting this in ways we can't see and can't imagine. We passed a grim milestone in the US this week - signifying that this is still an exhausting battle for those caretakers and workers on the frontlines. What we hear too often from the healthcare workers we feed is "there's just no time to go get something to eat!" - so the 5,000+ donated and delivered Righteous meals over the past year have been far more important than it may seem. THANK YOU!!

Our kitchen is slowly coming back to normal but we are still operating a frontline commissary and making meal donations. If you feel inclined to "take a frontline worker to lunch" you can buy them a meal on our website: www.righteouskitch.com and we'll be sure it gets to local Chicagoland hospital staff.
