🏡 Filming with Pam at Community Housing Solutions to highlight their amazing celebration of 50 years of serving humans living in difficult housing situations and aging in place!

✨ Those other photos? Oh, well Pam’s office is amazingly located on Larchmere Blvd.—a wonderful strolling/shopping opportunity of vintage, books, and delicious eats. We had a few hours between shoots, so Jenny had a little fun!

⭐️ Born and raised in Firestone Park (Akron, Ohio)

💚 Turning 39 wonderful years on January 4th

⭐️ Proud boy mom to a Jett (two T’s cool)

💚 Married to my bestie. We take morning walks while holding hands and walking in our favorite Woodlawn Cemetery

⭐️ Graduated in 2009 from the University of Akron with a degree in communications and a minor in creative writing

💚 Interned with Time Warner Cable (that old blast from the past) and produced cool stuff like the intro to the Football Hall of Fame

⭐️ Produced commercials for Night Rock on 88.1FM (I still own my radio demo!)

💚 Created SHE Did It Videography in less than THREE months, in 2018, after being fired from my gig of nearly 8 years. Created SHE after several failed attempts at getting an another videography job. Who did it?

⭐️ Won several local and regional awards, also a national Telly award

💚 Watch Turner Classic movies often and feverishly read books picked from

⭐️ HUGE passion for giving back, supporting local, sitting on boards and helping nonprofits. I’m likely working, behind the scenes on a fun project now…

🕺✨ Thanks to Wadsworth Chamber of Commerce for hosting this event and to Amy with Custom Care Rehab who brought her hubby Scott. Scott saved our millennial behinds with his depth of musical knowledge, but we still came in dead last.

They didn’t do this for the shout. 🤷‍♀️➡️🫶 Thank you to my MIL and Annette G. for donating their own “old” reading glasses to me. We have a local fellow named Jeffery who politely asked (in Wadsworth Neighbors Group) if anyone had extra reading glasses lying about. He works for a correctional facility and collects glasses for those who need them.

I need to meet up with Jeff again for the next donation batch the weekend of Dec 8. If you have, or would like to purchase a pair from the Dollar Store, I will collect them.

There is a list circulating on social media that incudes notable people who started their businesses or gained success “late in life.”

My first observation was that this list was missing a feeeeeeeeew women who I would also deem worthy of making a list such as this. So, ☺️💚

The BIGGER picture in all of this is that there is always time...
It is NEVER too late to change careers, switch ships, or rock a boat...
I’ve included the original list that I saw making rounds. Those humans did great things, too…I just think it coulda been a little loooooonger…🫶😉

There are many factors to consider when picking YOUR videographer:

➡️ budget
➡️ style
➡️ experience
➡️ location
➡️ AND the actual individual — Am I the right person for you? Cause I don’t have to be!! And that is okay!

Point being, finding a for something you are deeply passionate about is much more than sticking your fishing pole in the water just to see what sticks.

This local coffee meet up brought me back home, to downtown Akron, with someone I found an instant buddy in, Jessica. Jess and I met pre-pandemic through a local small event. I had no idea our journey, mine with SHE and hers with 330ToGO, was so similar!

💚 I’d like to add something here.

Owning your own business is also:
1️⃣ Learning to create a balance between work and family. Family should also be no. 1, even in the 90th hour or the second.

2️⃣ Understanding the work and the self. You must be so finely tuned into who you are, and what you are, that you know when to step away and avoid burnout. ❤️‍🔥🥵

3️⃣ Awareness of the work and the body, your physical health and your mental health. Your body keeps the score. It will let you know. Trust in SHE.

4️⃣ Knowing the difference between real work and where you create pockets of busy work, the not real work. If you feel like you do this or would like to be more aware of when you do this, check out The 4-Hour Work Week. Great book. For me, it was emails.

💚 Personal feedback from someone who burned herself out (multiple times) so deeply, that I’ve had to take a “hibernation” from the very thing I am; being creative.

Mission accomplished.
I’m very proud of this one. 👍⬇️

On October 19, I had the opportunity to co-facilitate the Multigenerational course/class with LEAD Director Terri Greene. When I took this course back in 2022 with LEAD, through Leadership Medina County, I knew that if I had the opportunity to make a connection between Leadership and the Soprema Senior Center, I would!

This year was that opportunity! Bringing in a generation (Traditionalists) that isn’t represented in this class meant that all living generations had the opportunity to chat about communication across generations. This was such an amazing concept to me!

It was such a success. Jean, Carolyn and Jim Dull were so well received and did a great job providing their point of view in the work force and how their experiences were when they were younger!
