Chris and Skylar have been together since middle school and I was so proud to stand with them at the start of the next chapter of their love story.

Fireworks? Absolutely!
Such an honor just to stand with Yelena and Andrew and witness the love that was so obviously surrounding them. I thank them for sharing their love with me and I thank their family for being so gracious and kind.

A surprise email and pic from Seth and Anna whose ceremony I officiated a little over a year ago, to let me know that they welcomed a sweet little angel, Wren Rose, making them a sweet family of three. 😍 Take my word for it - she is beautiful!

A pre-dinner mini-ceremony for Sue and Jon. Sue said “I can’t believe this is real!”

Came home to Charleston this afternoon and had a chance meeting with Tyler and Danyeal and their littles, needing an officiant for this Valentine’s eve. I was so happy to help them “I do” just in the moment. Not my best ceremony and definitely hiding from the pic in my travel clothes, but such a delight❣️

It was all sweet treats, no tricks for Mitch and Paige, as they went the distance from elementary school to college and beyond together. “I was yours before I knew, and you have always been mine, too.” My joy to stand with them as their officiant.

My fellow mountain and beach lovers, Brent and Amanda made the promise Saturday to always explore those places (and other adventures) forever, as a married couple❣️
The love in Brent’s eyes, as he watched Amanda come towards him down the aisle, and the love in Amanda’s eyes as she came closer, was a joy to watch. I don’t think they took their eyes off of each other the entire ceremony.

Officiating their wedding was a delight and privilege. It is with pride and emotion that I can say that this is the third couple within this precious family that I have been asked to celebrate and officiate and I love them all.

Now they have to adopt me. 🥰 It’s a rule in the officiant’s handbook❤️

It was a rather blustery (and beautiful) day at The Venetian Estate as Shaine and Molly celebrated the anniversary of their first date four years ago by continuing those anniversaries into a lifetime together. Love stories - what I love as I officiate and am allowed to stand close enough to see the sparkle in their eyes!

My beautiful niece, Catherine and her handsome fiancé, Andrew, promised their forever love this weekend and their gift to me was allowing me to stand with them as their officiant. I truly love every couple, but standing with Cate, who I held the day she was born, and adding Andrew and his family and friends into that circle of family love was the highlight of my years of officiating so far❣️ It was a weekend of sweetness that I will never forget.

“Virginia is for Lovers,” but Robert and Carolyn crossed the border into “Almost Heaven,” allowing me to share in their love story as their officiant. I have said so many times that my heart is so full when I see love in the eyes of couples before a word is even spoken, and the joining of Robert and Carolyn and their families was more than I can even convey. Robert and Carolyn, thank you and keep wandering and star gazing!

Himanshu and Hannah were very flexible about what their ceremony should include and, while I love writing all my ceremonies, this one was especially fun and they were totally ok with it. I hope it brought some smiles to remember someday, and, of course we included all the serious love stuff, too❣️ They were obviously so happy and in love, and that is always my favorite part. Thank you for giving my heart a boost as your officiant.

The look of love overwhelmed me today, as Seth and Anna spoke vows written for each other, touching my heart. We could’ve ended the ceremony right then, but we made it through, even with their tearful officiant and a threadbare tissue.
