One of the things folks often ask if is they can have a small, intimate gathering AND a big old’ wedding celebration. They want both! But more than that, they want the connections that both are able to give them. The smaller gatherings allow you to really talk over dinner or brunch, catch up with the small talk and then get into all the good 〰️ juicy life feels 〰️ and soak in the love and gratitude for the community of support that you have in whatever life moment you are celebrating.

Those big parties are for everyone—the extended family that you haven’t seen in ages, the friends that live over seas. They’re meant to be a little chaotic, a little overwhelming, a little too much. They’re meant to embrace the small pockets of conversations across the table and the folks sitting in the corner but also make it so everyone can find their own little space. And of course, it’s meant to bring the rage 🤙🏼

I’ll say it again—you👏🏼 can👏🏼 do👏🏼 whatever you want! What’s most important is that you do you! Think about the memories that are important for you to make. Think about the moments you want to have and who you truly want to have them with. Then, let’s talk! 😉

Always brightens my week to work an event out at the beautiful, serene Lady Luck Flower Farm

The beautiful perks of getting married at a local flower farm during peak bloom season!

We love planning weddings at the gorgeous LADY LUCK]] venue! Not only do you get to enjoy the vibrant flowers growing in the fields, but also the majestic mountains.

Did you also know you can source your flowers from the farm and have a florist arrange them for you? I’ve done this a bunch and it’s such a nice way to support local farmers and feature super fresh flowers on your wedding day.

Calling all dog lovers and Eastern Shore residents! 🌿🐶

Join us on Sunday, May 15, 2022 for an open-air feast celebrating the 25th anniversary of and their founder’s 60th bday!

This is MABCR’s first annual farm-to-table dinner and will feature live music from acoustic trio BFD, a family-style meal with farm-grown veggies, ice cream from , wine from The Wine Bin, and seasonal craft cocktails.

We will start the evening with a bit of bubbly and a grazing table with cured meat, cheese, fruit, and lots of homemade pickles! As folks settle into their seats, we will start family-style dinner service with a big, beautiful salad with greens grown by Barbara on Victory Farm and an herbed green dressing. We’ll share plates of seasonal veggies roasted with oil, herbs, and edible flowers and a classic spring-inspired BBQ dish. At sunset, Lockbriar Farm will serve up some of their seasonal ice cream flavors and have a medley of homemade cookies for you to choose from.

We hope you’ll join us around the table and get to know some of the staff, volunteers, and other long-time supporters of MABCR’s mission of finding the right home for their rescued dogs. All proceeds go directly to MABCR and help mitigate some of the growing costs of running an animal shelter.

When: May 15, 2022 from 4pm - sunset
Where: Victory Farm, Chestertown Maryland

I know y’all like to wait until after holidays and New Years to really start grinding on the details, and on Jan 1 I get a full inbox of y’all wanting to start figuring all of it out. 😘😝 But if you’re like me and enjoy the theatrics and the drama and the magic of events then I want to work with you! We can figure the deets out together and take January to rest and recoup. 😴

As promised, I wanted to share a few easily batched fall cocktail recipes so y’all can get your Halloween/Thanksgiving/Holiday-party on!

I call this the Loose Leaf and it is warm and floral, citrusy and deep, and steeped in calming chamomile.🍊

🍂 Loose Leaf
1 Oz
1 Oz fresh grapefruit juice
1 Oz white vermouth
1/2 Oz chamomile syrup

- make a 1:1 simple syrup using equal parts sugar and water. Warm up so the sugar dissolves and steep an equal part loose chamomile buds for 15 mins.

Cordial & Craft is seeking part-time bar staff to work various events around the WNC area.

Events include weddings, corporate gatherings, intimate dinners, and other fun productions! We are a close-knit group of creative events industry professionals and are looking for other like-minded people to work with.

REQUIREMENTS: Experience with bartending and the events industry is preferred, but not necessary. Must be comfortable around alcohol. Roles include pouring beer/wine only to mixing cocktails; set up of the bar area; moving kegs and cases of alcohol. Knowledge of NC state ABC & ALE laws is mandatory.

You must have a reliable mode of transportation.

Be open-minded to all people/s, cultures, and means of celebrating love, family, and kinship!

Work is contract-based and mostly weekends. Starting pay is $20/hour. This position would be great for folks who are looking for part-time work to fill in their summers or weekends.
