Big thanks to my dad for drawing this for me, I call it "Awkward Silence". It is meant to be a reminder of how you never know what kind of demons and skeletons are in a strangers closet, so you always have to keep your guards up. It's supposed to be creepy and in a way scary to match my song "Awkward Approach".

Like most things in life working on music in Ableton is a marathon, not a sprint. A little bit of work every day is much more effective than a lot of work all at once.

This week I took that vital first step and wrote my first song since before COVID. I used one of my old songs, EXP 14 / 152, as a blueprint and took some sounds from some of my other songs to help the creative process go quicker. Also I tried to keep the song fairly short.

This is the first time I remembered to record my live sets. It was for a house party I played at last night and unfortunately I forgot to record the first 5 minutes and the second set I played last night. The second set was actually a lot better, oh well 😛 It was about an hour and a half with about 40 minutes of house music at the start, but I forgot to record that one 😕

I did record the set I played earlier in the night. Its not the best set I've ever done and you can hear a couple bad parts, but it was also the first set I played while having basically a 20 minute conversation with someone xD so considering that I think it went pretty well.

I wanted to share it with you all so that my friends and family who couldn't be there could still listen to it 🙂 I hope you enjoy!

p.s. I'm going to be deleting it from SoundCloud at some point in the near future, so if you want to listen you might want to listen soon 😉
