This year has been a whirlwind of incredible moments, personal growth, and unforgettable celebrations at Southern Sparkle Weddings.

From meticulously planned timelines to heartfelt vows, we’ve been honored to guide so many couples through their most cherished day. Watching their wedding dreams become reality, hearing the laughter of family and friends, and knowing we played a part in creating those memories is why we do what we do.

2024 was also a year of finding balance. As much as I love the hustle of wedding days, I’ve learned the importance of slowing down to cherish the little things, like cheering on my oldest son at his first travel baseball tournaments, being part of youngest son’s class parties and spending time with family. Cutting back my workload for 2025 isn’t just a business decision; it’s a personal one that allows me to serve my couples with even more focus and heart.

We’re officially in the single digits of the Christmas countdown! Even though sickness has made its way through our house (tis the season, right?), the boys are still bursting with excitement—and honestly, so am I.

Over the weekend, I received a few inquiries for 2025 weddings from newly engaged couples (congratulations to all of you 💍). It’s such a joy to hear about the fresh love stories I’ll have the chance to bring to life! However, as a gentle reminder, I’ll be taking on fewer weddings in 2025 to focus more on my family and provide an even more personalized experience for the couples I work with.

Another unforgettable core memory as a wedding planner is the incredible wedding of Megan and Brooks Shaw. This celebration wasn’t just a milestone for them—it became one for me, too. With a guest count of nearly 600, it still holds the title of the largest wedding I’ve ever planned. During our initial consultation, I vividly remember thinking, *This wedding could either make or break my career.*

At one point in the meeting, I made a joke using a quote from *Step Brothers* and immediately thought to myself, *Well, you just lost that job.* But as it turns out, showcasing my personality is what sealed the deal, and I landed the role as their wedding planner. Little did I know, this decision would change so much for me.
✨
This wedding brought countless blessings. It marked my first-ever national press feature, as Megan and Brooks’ day was published in several major outlets, including *Better Homes and Gardens.* To this day, their wedding design pops up on Pinterest, inspiring couples everywhere. I also still receive referrals from their wedding, a testament to the magic and impact of that day.

But the greatest gift of all was the relationship I gained with Megan. What started as a professional connection turned into a beautiful friendship. We still talk regularly, cheering each other on as we navigate life as business owners and mothers. She’s one of my biggest supporters, and I am endlessly grateful for the bond we share.

Megan and Brooks’ wedding was so much more than a career milestone. It was a reminder that being true to yourself, even in the high-stakes moments, can lead to amazing opportunities and relationships. This wedding will forever hold a special place in my heart.
