Real talk? I didn’t set out to be a wedding planner.
Twenty years ago, I was the bride—with no planner, no clue, and no idea what I truly needed. Honestly, I probably couldn’t afford one even if I had known. Pinterest wasn’t a thing, TikTok didn’t exist, and I was just out here winging it with a prayer and a clipboard from Office Depot.
Fast forward a few years, and I planned a wedding and a baby shower for family and friends. I thought I was just being the “organized one”—but apparently, the way things flowed, the design details, the vibe... they saw something I hadn’t seen in myself yet.
That’s when Epic Events was born.
Fueled by spreadsheets, centerpieces, and a calling I didn’t even realize was calling me.
Now don’t get me wrong—I’ve had the most amazing clients over the years (y’all know who you are 💕). But whew—there were some who had me questioning everything. I’m talking, “hire you then ignore every piece of advice you give” energy. And when you pour your whole self into something and it’s not received… it stings.
There were moments I almost hung up my clipboard for good.
But I believe there’s purpose in this work.
In making someone’s once-in-a-lifetime feel effortless and extraordinary.
And I’m not done yet.
So here’s to every past bride who didn’t know she needed a planner (👋🏽 hey girl, me too), to every couple who gets it, and to the purpose that keeps pushing me forward.
This story’s not over yet. 💫
