The Peninsula Wrestling Association hosts the 44th Annual Virginia Duals Wrestling Tournament at Hampton Coliseum this weekend, Jan. 10-12!

The team advancement concept started in Hampton, Virginia with the Virginia Duals in 1981 and is now used by Virginia and many other states to determine the best high school team in the state. The National College Wrestling Coaches Association also recognized the value of the Team Advancement concept and now has the National Dual Team Championships to recognize the best college team in the nation. The Virginia Duals Wrestling Tournament is the largest college and high school tournament in the world.

⚾ Amazing opportunity to meet a legend - Norfolk native Sam Allen was a member of the Negro League for four years beginning in 1957. Allen was a member of the Kansas City Monarchs, the Raleigh Tigers, and the Memphis Red Sox. He led the league in runs in 1957. His career ended in 1960 when he was drafted into the military.

🏅 Sam Allen was inducted into the Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 and was a White House Honoree in 2007. He was also a 2019 Inductee of the Tidewater Baseball Shrine at Harbor Parker in Norfolk.

Attending the Hampton Heat at Larry King Law's Langley Speedway? Plan to park at the Hampton Coliseum. A (free) shuttle will be running continuously between the Speedway & Coliseum from 2 PM - Midnight on Saturday.

General Parking at Langley Speedway is anticipated to be full by 4pm on July 20th. Satellite parking will be at Hampton Coliseum. Free shuttles between the Coliseum & Speedway will be running all evening beginning at 2 PM.
