Here is a unique idea and it could possibly save you some money. Traditional wedding cakes can be very costly. With this you could save money on center pieces and the cake or see the picture I found in the comments on making another way to display it, if you have a certain vibe or centerpiece you want.

A few behind the scenes shots from the rehearsal a few weeks ago. I was so blessed to be a part of Dani and Jeff’s wedding weekend. I love the day of rehearsal when you get to see the vision come together and get meet the people the bride and groom have picked to be a part of their big day.

Isn’t this the truth! The cost of everything you want vs what you can afford is always surprising. Having a planner can help you have a realistic idea of what things actually cost and stay on (closer to) budget. When planning a wedding, what was your biggest surprise when it came to cost? I would say for me it was floral.

Engaged...Now what?
Step 6: Determine dates-Having a few dates in mind when finding your perfect venue will help the process.

1. Are there any dates that are symbolic to you?
2. What is your desired wedding season? If you are wanting to do an outdoor wedding, keep weather in mind.
3. Do you want peak or off-peak dates? If you are willing to go with an off peak date you can save on your budget with some venues and vendors and you will have more options when picking a vendor who is available. Off peak months vary but are usually start about November or December until about February to March depending on venue and location.
4. Check dates of other local events.
5. Ask for the preferences of your VIP guest list. (if you can be flexible on the date, check with those that are must have guest at your wedding for any conflicts before booking anything)
