Now this is just our opinion, and the most important thing is that YOU as the couple are happy with your song choices. Picking something meaningful to you, whatever it may be, is what we always try to encourage, but if you’re stuck these ⬆️ are some of our favorites when it comes to the ceremony 🎻

“Emily wanted their wedding venue to have a modern aesthetic with clean lines, neutral colors, natural light, and greenery. They decided on Wrightsville Manor, with its lush exterior and gorgeous reception space with a wall of glass. Inspired by the television series Bridgerton, the couple hired Deans’ Duets, a classically trained string quartet, to play modern songs as the guests arrived and during the ceremony.

The ceremony space was decorated beautifully with four columns of tall floral arrangements and a white square arch adorned with lovely florals. Austin and Emily exchanged their vows, with Austin’s heartfelt words drawing tears from the guests and Emily’s lighthearted vows prompting merry laughs.”

So excited to see Emily + Austins’ STUNNING spring wedding featured in 😍🤍 Every detail was meticulously planned by these two (we would expect nothing less from two dentists) and it was an honor to bring it all to life!

Let us start by saying, you absolutely do not NEED any of these things to prepare for your wedding.

We actually advise AGAINST doing anything *totally* out of your normal routine (trying a drastically different haircut, overhauling your skincare regimen too close to the big day, or really doing anything that doesn’t make YOU feel like your best self).

BUT, for those wondering about best timing for ‘tox, spray tans, nail appointments and more... swipe to see our recommendations ➡️

We truly believe you’re already perfect as you are (and we know your partner agrees 🥲), but we do get asked occasionally about scheduling some of these things! Swipe to learn more about some common misconceptions we hear in the wedding community 👉

1. Many couples we work with are *already* married on their actual wedding day / celebration. This happens for a number of personal reasons, but many times it’s for insurance purposes or because the couple wants to make sure it’s CRYSTAL clear for their officiant if they’re traveling out of state for their wedding. Here in NC, laws can make it tricky for certain officiants to *legally* marry you in accordance to the laws of your home state.

2. Gone are the days when the “father of the bride foots the bill”. The wedding budget is often brought together by many contributing members - in large part, the couples themselves.

3. Whewww the misconceptions about pricing within the wedding industry. 😮‍💨 Long story short: weddings are EXPENSIVE. If you have a set budget, your favorite venue or certain vendors may be outside of your price range. That is OKAY - but it does not change the numbers.

4. Along with budget - wedding vendors do not hike up their prices just because “it’s a wedding.” We truly put our hearts and souls into ensuring you have the *once-in-a-lifetime* wedding day. And that’s a tall task - one we’re fully capable of taking on, but many factors go into pricing our packages. Whether it’s a peak season date vs. an off-season date, or if there is a ton of prep / logistics that go into planning — every wedding is so different. We all have set standard pricing, but many factors lead to custom quotes.

We always start by having a conversation with our couples and ask them to truly think about their guests - you know your people better than we do! What types of weddings do you / they normally attend? Do they get antsy sitting or are they expecting multiple courses? Is space at a premium?

With these things in mind, we can make a better informed decision about the type of dinner service you want to offer on your big day. There are no wrong answers, but we can definitely play to your guests (and your) style of service knowing these things in advance!

To provide the absolute BEST service to all of our couples, there are *just a few* things we personally believe make all the difference on your wedding day when it comes to your planning team.

1️⃣ By booking only one event per day, we can ensure that our focus is FULLY on you as the couple and our team isn’t spread thin. I also find it SUPER important as the lead planner to personally attend your rehearsal, so the run through goes as smoothly as possible and everyone feels extra comfortable on wedding day.

2️⃣ Because we are very well-versed with the venues AND vendors we work with, we know how many hands will be needed and are able to avoid over-staffing “just in case.” We don’t believe in bringing in auxiliary staff just to stand around, or charge you an extra fee.

3️⃣ From the time you arrive at the venue, to receiving your vendors throughout the day, to personally lighting your sparklers and cleaning up at the end of the night - I am present from start to finish. I LOVE seeing your whole day through, and am able to personally ensure every single thing on your dream day is completely taken care of.

You read that right... 🦷🤍✨

Emily + Austin are both dentists, so they had some fun with their es**rt display and it was easily our favorite detail of the day!! Each tooth was acrylic and had the guests' names + their table numbers -- a perfect little takeaway for the guests too!

' Atlas Wall with custom trim was the perfect backdrop plus arrangements from really brought it all together ✨ We made a quick trip to Home Depot beforehand for the hooks and carefully measured // placed each one -- symmetry and perfection was the goal for these dentists 🤌

If you're getting married in the summer months (especially in the south!) - this post is for you! 😎🤍

First, make sure to SAVE 📌 this post to look back on later when you're making all your checklists!

✨ First on the list is SHADE for your guests -- there is nothing worse than being stuck outside for an entire ceremony + cocktail hour sweating through your pretty dress // nice tux, makeup melting off and a nice farmer's tan to boot. Popup storms can also move through at virtually ANY moment (again if you live in Wilmington, you know), so we always encourage our couples to add this coverage.

✨ Right along with #1, make sure your guests have easily accessible water (this is a big one for MANY reasons). Guests will already be lining up at the bar for cocktails - put the water station somewhere separate so people can refill without problem.

✨ Handheld fans for throughout the ceremony // cocktail hour are a nice touch and something guests can easily stick in their purses. Etsy has plenty of cute personalized ones. Adding bigger fans to your tent setup (that can be installed up on the tent frame) is also a great idea that your guests will appreciate!

✨ Refresh stations! This is a thoughtful add-on year round, but especially during those warmer months when people might need items they haven't thought to bring along. A cute basket for each bathroom with just a few products goes a long way.

A little sneak peek at some of the details from Nicole + Camerons’ wedding day

This day was SO fun and unique from beginning to end, and the most fun to design + see come together. From the floral design to the traditional Korean Pyebaek ceremony to the late night ramen bar, each detail was planned so thoughtfully and truly felt like the celebration of a lifetime for Nicole, Cameron and their loved ones. They followed their hearts on making the day of their dreams come true - right down to the last minute decision to cut their tent and go with the outdoor ceremony, despite a morning full of rainstorms 🤍☔

Swipe to see some wedding trends we’re loving so far this season! ➡️

While a couple of these aren’t *brand* new in 2024, we’re happy to see them stick around this season 🤍

✨ First, not having your wedding party stand up with you during the whole ceremony is something we’ve been seeing a lot more of recently! We love this because it keeps the focus on YOU as a couple. Your favorite people can still get their moment walking up / down the aisle and sitting in the front row, but there is no added pressure or distraction of having them standing (sometimes uncomfortably for long ceremonies) the entire time.

✨ We are big fans of prioritizing little pockets of private time together throughout the wedding day. The day goes by SO quickly and there are lots of people wanting your attention - you can quickly get separated and end up spending your entire reception without each other. Eating dinner privately or incorporating a first look are ways you can make sure to refocus on each other.

✨ Guest events are a great way to make sure you spend time with all of your loved ones before / after the actual wedding day, so you don’t feel like you’re being pulled in a million different directions or like you missed someone. We love welcome parties the night before because it’s low-pressure and a nice way to set the tone for the weekend 🙂

✨ While this isn’t a new trend, it’s one of our favorites - outfit change for the reception just adds such a fun element and you can continue to let your personalities shine through a sassy jumpsuit, different color dinner jacket or matching sneakers!

SAVE📌 this post to refer back to when it comes to wedding planning / what order to book your vendors in!

If you’re planning on a longer engagement (more than one year), we’ve put together some tips for you to take some of the stress of WHEN to book all your vendors. Here are a few you can knock out ASAP, regardless of what your countdown looks like:

VENUE - this should be top priority as venues book out sometimes years in advance! If you have a certain date in mind, make sure you start shopping around right away and send your date along with questions about availability.

PLANNER - of course, having an excellent planning team right off the bat makes things SO much easier in the long run (if we do say so ourselves). Having someone that can send you reminders when it is time to book certain vendors, give you recommendations based on your budget + style, and being there for guidance when it comes to all the little things that pop up along the way truly does go a long way.

PHOTOGRAPHER / VIDEOGRAPHER - We like putting this at the top of the list, because when the day is all said and done, really all you have left are your photos / videos, so choosing a team you really love + align with is super important. PLUS we highly recommend doing engagement photos to build trust with your photographer + to be able to use for your wedding invites, save-the-dates, etc.

Wedding dress, floral designer and catering can also be included in the 1+ year category 👰🏻‍♀️

Keep in mind, everyone’s priorities are different, so if you have a makeup artist you’re dying to work with that you know is very popular, book them as soon as that engagement ring hits your finger, girl! You can certainly have an incredible wedding with a shorter timeline, but always start with YOUR priorities and go from there.

Why did we make this change? Let’s break it down:

A few years ago, I started to notice that there were specific services I felt that ALL clients should be receiving to get the best of what I have to offer - and on the flip side of that, there were things I wasn’t interested in doing. The best thing about running my own business is that if it doesn’t work, I have the ability to change it.

I spend a lot of time on consultation calls explaining what I do within each level of my services, but ultimately I have found the change to be a really great transition for both my clients and my team!

Our Event Planning + Design package combines ALL the elements of having a full-service planner, so you have an advocate helping you bring the wedding of your dreams to life along with the careful detail and consideration of a completely personalized design.

A step down from that is our Event Planning service, where we’ll still act as your liaison when it comes to vendors and venue, but the aesthetic vision is definitely more in your hands! Perfect for the type-A couples who just need more of a guiding hand.

Once the dust settles after your wedding day, you may be wondering what you can do to thank your vendors + the team that made it all happen! Swipe for some of our favorite ideas 🤍👉

✨ Reviews serve as some of the best marketing tools for your vendors. Be honest and give details about how they really made your day unforgettable! These go a longggg way.

✨ I have kept every single one of the thank you notes my couples write me in a box and I re-read them every Thanksgiving. 🥹 If tipping isn’t in the budget (and even if it is!), thank you notes are so special and mean so much to your vendors.

✨ I currently have 200 leftover cocktail napkins in my garage waiting to go home with their owner 🥰 - definitely check in with your coordinating team to see if they still have any items they may have held onto for you! Also, see if some of those one-and-done items could find a new home with someone that could use them (a florist may love your cool table numbers or a velvet ring box may make a great addition to your photographer’s kit!).

Now, obviously we’re a little biased. 😇 But here ⬆️ is why we truly think it’s worth every penny when it comes to investing in a wedding planner.

Planning a wedding is something (most) of our couples have never done before! Even if you have a crystal clear vision of what you want your day to look like, the coordination of making it all happen seamlessly is actually a LOT more involved than it may look.

The day should be spent with your most favorite people on the planet, celebrating your love and future together - not worrying about whether you’re on track with the timeline, if Uncle Bob is behaving himself, if the flowers arrived on time, if everyone got the meal they ordered - we could go on and on.
