Accidental Beginnings
Summer has been in floral design for over 20 years. What started as a 6th grade job shadow led to a job washing buckets and cleaning the cooler. Eventually I opened my own business as I was missing a creative outlet in my office job. I have worked under four different shop owners over 12 years, three of those shops in Iron County, Michigan, the fourth in Appleton, Wisconsin. I’ve learned from great designers and enjoy expanding my education in design and all things floral. Currently there is not a brick and mortar store that Summer Blooms, LLC is working out of. I meet clients in their homes, in restaurants for a piece of pie to chat about their project or over the phone/email to hear their vision and help put it into floral design. Being able to incorporate special touches that have meaning to the client is what I enjoy the most.
