There's a certain magic in actual celluloid film. I think the imperfections remind us of a simpler time; no slow motion, no fancy camera moves. Don't get me wrong, those have their time and place, but the rawness of super 8 evokes a whole different set of emotions.

I love shooting on film; every second that I hold the trigger down, actual film is moving through the camera and being exposed, capturing the moment forever. No do-overs. No reviewing the shot in camera.

Being able to capture a couple's wedding day on physical media like film is just as magical for me as it is for them.

I have no clue what we’re laughing at. But Allison makes some really great points!

WITH OUR POWERS COMBINED…. Kevin and I are heading up to Pine Knoll Shores tomorrow to photo/video for Mattie & Griffin’s wedding at ! and I have been teamed up for over 3 years now, which makes us a pretty solid working duo. What are the perks of hiring your photo and video team together?

- one invoice, one payment, one timeline. No coordinating between multiple vendors, we’re a team so we work together!

- we know where the other person needs to be to get the shot they need without being in each other’s way all day. Often when we work with other companies, our methods are different, our personalities are different, we get in each other’s way, we have to repeat every pose multiple times, etc etc etc.

- we both have backgrounds in film and have college degrees in our field (a true rarity these days) which makes us both incredibly technical and precise, and our styles go very well together

- we’re friends, and we like to have FUN at weddings, so the experience is always a blast and our couples will find themselves just enjoying their day organically while we catch all the feels instead of having to stop and perform for the cameras

Have I convinced you yet how fun we are?! 😂😂😂 if you already have me booked for photo and you are still thinking about video, reach out! You never know, they could still be available for your date and the number one regret I always hear from people about their wedding day is: “I wish I had gotten video”

I think it's safe to say that "light and airy" is not our style.

We quickly grew tired of the same old style that everyone was shooting; every wedding video started looking the same.

In an effort to stand out from the crowd, we took time to figure out what WE enjoy shooting. Because when we love what we do, our wedding films benefit from that passion.

We've tried new cameras, new lights, new lenses — whatever it takes to keep our job FUN so we can make badass wedding films.

Kev here — just wanted to pop into your feed to celebrate my partner in crime’s birthday!

Haley works her butt off at weddings, not just shooting gorgeous videos but also making sure our couples are well taken care of.

And when she’s not filming a wedding with me, she’s holding down the fort at home taking care of our two boys, two cats, two fish, and dog.

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves; Allison is a blast to work with! The vendor synergy is real!

Happy day after Thanksgiving, happy , and happy weekend! I'm Allison - and that guy to my right is Kevin from - we teamed up a couple years ago (it's already been a couple years WHAT?!) to offer both photo and video to our clients and it has been the most wonderful thing! Being able to work with the same videographer over and over really helps you get to know how the other person works, where they will be during the ceremony, we know how to not get in the other person's way, we know each other's favorite poses and moments to capture, and we're friends - so it makes it more fun and that's the biggest compliment that we get from our couples. Laughter really is the best way to spend your wedding day, and we promise no shortage of that. Kevin and I both have a film background and we incorporate that into our work, too. Our FAVORITE thing is when we get booked for both 35mm film photos and Super 8 video! I always hear that people's biggest regret about their wedding day is NOT having video, so we're here to make sure that doesn't happen! 2024 is almost fully booked already, so you better get those inquiries in before I close my books! When Sabrina and Gabriel asked if we'd film their elopement off the Blue Ridge Parkway, we couldn't say yes fast enough! It was such a fun and magical little gathering with their closest friends and family.
