Events by Emily Kay Fun, friendly, and a master organizer, Emily is loyal and tenacious which is reflected in her work. In 2013 I began my journey with Events by Emily Kay.

She enjoys building authentic connections with her couples, and will go above and beyond to bring their perfect celebration to life. I have always loved hospitality and serving others. I started out as an event planner, assisting my clients with a variety of celebrations. I soon began to realize that my passion was for weddings. What better way to serve someone than to help them with one of the mo

st important days of their life. I love building authentic connections with my couples. That way they will know they are in good hands, and can enjoy every minute of their celebration. Each time a couple invites me into their journey to "I do" I feel so honored and blessed.

Can I let you in on a little secret? I am unbelievably clumsy. My old co-workers lovingly used to call me Emily Kaytastrophe. There are days when my clumsy is worse than others, but overall the clumsy keeps in check when I am working these days. However, wedding cakes terrify me. To all my baker buddies, you are rockstars for being brave enough to move a heavy cake across a room. I have made it a rule in my business to not move cakes. I do not want to be responsible for accidentally dropping and ruining this joyous element to the celebration. Well at my nieces wedding I broke that rule, and moved the cake. It almost made it to the table unscathed, but as I was sliding it onto the table my thumb went straight into the bottom of the cake. No, it couldn't have been the back of the cake, but directly in front for all to see. So like any good planner, I quickly found some flowers to hide the hole I just created in cake, and immediately reinstated my policy to never pick up a cake again. :)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Planner + Florals:
