Hello, and welcome back to The Art of Officiating. I’m Rev. Randy Taylor, and today we’re talking about an important part of being an officiant that often goes overlooked—Coordinating with Other Wedding Vendors.

As officiants, we’re often seen as the leaders of the ceremony itself, but we’re not working alone. Successful ceremonies happen when we collaborate with the entire wedding team—DJs, photographers, musicians, planners, videographers, and sometimes even venue staff. When everyone is aligned, it makes the ceremony flow seamlessly and allows the couple to enjoy their big day without any stress.

In this episode, I’ll guide you through the essentials of coordinating with vendors, from setting up sound checks with the DJ to syncing cues with the photographer, to working closely with planners and coordinators. These small but vital touches can make all the difference for a smooth, beautiful ceremony.
