The Windy City Ghostbusters is a 501(c)3 charity and a group of Chicago-based Ghostbuster enthusiasts who make and wear their own movie-accurate costumes. They march in parades and attend events dressed as Ghostbusters, in exchange for reasonable donations to local charity group. It's also about doing good! Chicagoland, we've got good news and bad news!
Bad news is, we've stayed out as long as we can, but a freak snowstorm means we're out of commission for the winter. Ecto, sadly, is deathly allergic to salt.
The good news? The Windy City Ghostbusters have other, more winter-adept vehicles to continue keeping every spook, spectre, and ghost at bay in the Greater Chicagoland area.
As always, our courteous and efficient staff are on call twenty four hours a day, seven days a week to serve all your supernatural elimination needs.
We'll see you all in the spring!

Ghostbusters II arrived on Home Video today in 1989, after a June 16th theatrical release!
The original video release was aimed at the rental market with a $89.95 dollar price tag, but it quickly got the priced-to-own treatment as seen in this ad. It entered the rental charts at number 10 and by late December, it peaked as the second top VHS rental of the year (behind Batman, natch).
Tidbit: Supposedly, RCA/Columbia was inundated with calls about a problem with "black bars" as the original VHS run was released in letterbox. Those were the days.

Hey there Chicago! Friends of ours at League of Enchantment Chicago are doing something wonderful for families this Holiday season. Please check it out and spread the word!
The League of Enchantment is looking at adopting around 20 families for Christmas this year across Michigan and Chicago, and we’re looking for nominations. Specifically, children or family members who have dealt with a chronic illness or an ongoing chronic illness.
We are also collecting funds to buy gifts for all family members in the household, which we will deliver in-suit before Christmas! The deadline for nominations is December 1st.
